I think it is the most insidious type of movie. It strives to appear as a manly testosterone action flick, but it's real intention is to sucker guys into paying for a date movie. Though in that regard it is a masterpiece of marketing. Typical 80's flick too... |

I would consider Top Gun to be a manly flick since the male stars of the movie don't do a thing for me. I'm not a TC fan. Julia |

Has anyone ever used the "you've lost that loving feeling" bit, if so, did it work? I never understood why the ladies drooled over TC in that movie and not Val Kilmer, TC is short and has a big nose, VK had a symetrical face , blonde hair and was tanned, sometimes I dont get what attracts women physically

With all the bashing of Tom Cruise (I think he's alright) has anyone seen Collateral? |

Same here. I only bring up Collateral because Cruise was the bad guy, a role he doesn't usually do, and it was kind of refreshing. It was a great movie. |

I liked Cocktail somewhat, but that may have had more to do with Elisabeth Shue being in the film.

I think Eye’s Wide Shut is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. However, I saw that movie only once (at the theater), so I have no idea how I would react to it today. Quite frankly, I don't care to waste the 3 hours watching it again to find out though. |

I wasn't too impressed with the movie as a whole, but I thought Tom Cruise was good in it. I also thought there were some interesting, visually speaking scenes in the movie. |

24, Funny you should say that. I am a huge fan of Kubrick, but that is one of the films that I have yet to see of his. I don't believe I will see it, but one never knows. |
