Should people be up in arms over this?

Hardee's rolls out (almost literally) a new burger.

Titled: Hardee's Monster Burger Creates Uproar

To be honest, who cares. This would be an issue if, and only IF someone was twisting your arm and forcing you to eat them. I don't see that they are doing this. Personally, a big sloppy burger doesn't appeal to me (I'm also not willing to drive to Prescott, Arkansas to have one), but if someone else wants one, that's his/her choice. It is that person's responsibility.

Of course, our friends at the Center for Science in the Public Interest called the new burger "food porn" and "the fast-food equivalent of a snuff film." I guess these people sit around all day looking for more ways to be miserable.

For those who have to have one:
http://www.hardees.com/finder.cfm

Warning: Hardees is not found in the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii. It is not in Canada or the UK (sorry folks), either.

I can't define it, but I know it when I eat it.

I also agree it is no big deal. People have the option to eat them. Its up to the individual to be smart enough to know that eating 20 of these things a day isn't good for you.

There is a Hardees in TX, about a block from the uni that I went to. I used to go there at lunch sometimes until I found a bug in my soda.

On a side note, anyone can go to the meat counter, purchase all the ground beef they can carry, take it home, soak it in butter, grill is up, slap on some bacon and cheese, put it between two buns and eat it if they like.

Really? Their map shows that Texas is Hardee's-free.

Maybe it was something similar?

I've seen Hardees a few times, and probably eaten there once or twice. But you're right, it's individual choice. :)

We have Hardees all over North and South Carolina. I haven’t eaten there in several years though. About the only thing that I ever liked eating was their Mushroom and Swiss Cheese Burger. Those were really good. I also liked their vanilla milk shakes.

When I ate meat, I loved Hardee's mushroom and swiss burger too. The only fast food I have anymore is Taco Bell's 7 layer burritos.

It has been years, so maybe they closed it down or sold it out.

I was a Sonic fan until the one in my town ruined it for me by being so lousey. I haven't been to a Sonic in months.

ha ha.

we have Hardees here in NC (as 24 already said) but we don't go there much anymore. our family used to go just for the fried chicken, but they've stopped offering that as a menu option.

personally, this is an incredibly dumb thing to raise an uproar about. eat if you want. just put a warning label on it.

and no, that was not serious.
