You didn't miss anything. He deleted posts you were involved in.

That would have been what, ONE? :rotfl:

Do we do hard things just because they are hard? No, they must also be the right thing to do according to your axiom.

No, Einstein, we do things because they are right. I know that offends you "shades of gray" types, but well, too bad.

You should actually read the last line of your signature...
P.S. Garrick Utley was wrong, by the way.

Admiral - is it possible for you to disagree without getting insulting.

38957 already commented on your style yesterday. We are all getting a bit sick of the fighting.

Gvok - you didn't have to make the comments you did about the deleted posts either. I didn't see them, so I don't know the story - but just let it go.

I said nothing insulting or untrue, so I don't really know what you are implying here.

OFFICIAL RESPONSE TO RESPONSE

Yes, I've disagreed with you in the past without resorting to insults. I have disagreed with most people here in a civil manner.

Are you saying that fighting attempted genocide may not be necessary?

No. Are you saying that the primary reason the Bush Administration invaded Iraq was the mass killings perpetrated by Saddam's government?

Gvok

So the reasons the Bush Administration offered (i.e., WMD and Saddam's terrorist connections) were not the primary reasons?

Personal Response

Actually the only people who I've heard demand that one thing or another be listed as a "primary" reason are people who opposed the war and/or Bush.

Prior to the war, I heard President Bush and/or members of his administration talk about WMD's, terrorist connections (which also came from Hussein himself), and mass murder by Hussein of his own citizens.

Two of three have proven to be true. The third (WMD's) is still questionable, but what we didn't know then, but we know now is that Hussein had an unprecedented stockpile of weapons of all types. In Fallujah they set off a bunker buster on a site. After the intial explosion, additional explosions continued for over 45 minutes. In addition to the site they were looking for, they had found one of the largest cashes of weapons found anywhere in Iraq - all underground.

Yes, when Bush said that Hussein was a danger, he included Iraqis in the list of those in danger.

Nope those where not the only reasons given and no they where not the primary reason, yet they too where a big reason.

I saw the deleted posts.

I agree with 38's actions.

I also agree with Minuet's comments.

Let it drop.
