The Sisko,

We have a rule in the library that drinks need to be at least five feet from the keyboards.

Actually, we don't enforce it that much, so long as the students are not abusive of the rules. :)

I now keep mine at arms length instead of right by my elbow.

Speaking of elbows, my wife was informing our children that when you use toilet paper, you should take as much off of the roll which measures the length of your arm, and no more. She hopes that this will alleviate clogging problems in our new home--LOL. :)

With a septic tank, I recommend you stay away from the thick 2-ply as well (e.g. Charmin). TP like Charmin doesn't dissolve as fast (or at all once the septic tank is full to a certain point) and you will have to have your tank pumped out more frequently.

My mom had her septic tank pumped out several months ago, and she said the guy mentioned that about the thicker toilet papers. She had switched from the more septic tank friendly Scott Tissue variety to Charmin and the tank got full too fast. It backed up into her house (thankfully nothing nasty came out of the toilets). She just couldn't flush or shower until the tank was pumped out.

So I would say be mindful of the type of TP as well.

Minuet and 24,

Thanks for the advice. We have two 1,000 gallon tanks--brand new. Our excavator said one is for the refuse, while the other is to catch that which is not taken care of in the first one--who am I to argue with him. He sure knows his crap. ;)

Minuet,

I suppose I could say that the length of their arms is directly proportional to their [---]. ;)
