38, have you ever taken an economics class?

No, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. ;)

I've already proposed a number of areas where cuts could be made. You just want to raise taxes on the producers.

Here is an actual example of a blatent lie on your part. I don't want to raise taxes just to raise taxes. My goal is to balance the budget. If that happens by cutting the budget fine. But the budget should be balanced before taxes are cut. It's called being responsible.

Admiral, see how easy it is to provide an example of an actual lie someone has made?

Okay, you want to raise taxes on the producers to supposedly balance the budget. I didn't lie at all. Your solution was to raise taxes.

Just leave it to the liberals to balance the budget. Conservatives can spend all they like that way, then complain about taxes when a liberal saves the economy.

Yeah, they'll do it on the backs of those who PAY taxes. No thanks. It doesn't work, and it is obvious that neither of the lefties posting in here have ANY knowledge of Economics.

Come back when you do.

Obviously it does. Clinton balanced the budget. I know about economics. Don't resort to insults, we were having a civil discussion. How sad.

I don't think that Clinton balanced any budget. I think that they numbers were distorted for political reasons.

Speak softly, and carry a 57 megaton stick!
Clinton balanced the budget by slashing the military budget. What if Bush were to slash some liberal spending program, like Social Security?

A left wing British Government balanced the budget by increasing taxes and freezing spending (1997-2001), then when the downturn hit they started spending again to boost the economy.

Could they have done that with a war in progress?

I'm not afraid of paying my fair share to help my country out of debt especially durring "war" time. You, apparently are too selfesh to give of yourself for your country depite your rhetoric. How pathetic.

What complete horse$h1t.

Unlike you, who I doubt would know a charity if one knocked on your door, I give in many other ways that don't involve direct monetary transfers to the government. As for income taxes, I paid over $40,000 last year. I'd consider that more than a fair share. Why is it that you blue staters never give to charities? Hmmm?

Giving of myself to my country. What a leftist pantload. You big government wussies think that taking other people's money by force and throwing it at programs that don't work is the solution to everything.

Tell you what, tough guy... you think that money is the solution, send in a check. Put your money where your mouth is, hot shot. I bet you don't have the guts.
