Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
Wheels are round at the food (especially meatballs) just won't stay on them. Also, wheels pick up all sorts of nasty grime from the road which is not good to ingest.

Just curious AB, what do you have against Meals on Wheels?

Give a man a fish and you've fed him for a day;
Teach a man to fish and you've fed him for a lifetime.

In other words, I think food banks and meals-on-wheels programs are enablers.

As a case in point, I headed back through Austin over Thanksgiving weekend. I was skimming a local TV station's Web site and the site mentioned a restaurant/cafe that was open on Thanksgiving. I thought, "That's nice." They said they wanted to give to the less fortunate on a day to be thankful, and offered free meals. There were pictures showing well-dressed people waiting in line for a free meal; the cars outside were not clunkers. Where were the truly needy?

Aren't the primary recipients of meals on wheels elderly and disabled?

I think it and other programs enables the "too lazy to find work" to not find work.

I'll be sure to mention that to the WWII vet I deliver food to who is on oxygen and is ordered by his doctor not to exert himself.

I think most reasonable people would agree that the elderly and disabled deserve to eat too.
