Shatner on Conan

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
Friday night I happen to catch the Conan O'Brien Show, which is rare because I don't ever watch that show, but the TV had been left on and I came into the room and saw Shatner on with Conan. So, naturally I watched.

Conan asked him why Deforrest Kelley didn't speak to him for two years during the original series.

Shatner said that Kelley loved his dog, a little chihuahua, and came in one day and was all upset that his dog had died. Shatner asked him how it happened, and Kelley said that the dog had run into a sprinkler head. Everyone in the audience started laughing and Shatner pointed to the audience and said "that's what I did" and that is why Deforrest Kelley didn't speak to Shatner for a while. I don't know if that is true or not, but it was funny the way he said it.

He was also promoting his new album and he sung The Insy Winsy Spider in the Shatner style there on TV.

Shatner is a strange person, but one of my favorite people, because he is himself. ;)

Is that Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, or another tune with those same lyrics? :)

As public as the Conan O'Brien show is. Perhaps a few dozen people.

I have mixed feelings about Conan. He is one of the writers of the Simpsons, but I just can't stand to watch the guy.

I didn't know that either. It wasn't until years later that I discovered that Steve Martin was one of the original writers for Laugh-In. And how about John Williams--composing music for the original Lost In Space t.v. series? He was billed then as 'Jonny Williams.'

It can't really be classified as singing. But, it is more than talking. I guess that I would call it Shatnering. ;)

Is that German for Talk-singing or something? Most of my German comes from watching History Channel documentaries about WWII. ;)
