To be honest, I enjoy Star Trek. I always watched the re-runs from when it started in early October of 1990 on Sky, never got to see it first run on BCC 2 when season one was pretty new to the UK. Imagine that it was 14 years ago. I used to know the episode by just hearing the stardate, now that I've been working in hell where you are treated like crap, I rearly get to see it on tv. To be honest I never gave Voyager a chance until it was in season three and DS9 in season 4. It was always TNG, cause the BCC used to screw up that show by moving around every week. Thank God for DVD, the sole reason for getting a DVD player was to collect all of TNG, DS9, Voy (yes Voyager), and TOS. Soon I will get Ent and got every film in director editions except four and five that I will get. The thing is what one to buy this time with little money. I have a choice, get TOS season 2 or get Voyager season 4? I am very weary of this time seeming I had barely money to get presents last year because of DS9 sixth and seventh were December. Why do I have to be such a loyal fan. Oh and another thing I seem to lurk more than post now, cause its all been answered. |

Too true. Just know I was trying to come up with a quote from TNG and it was hard. I think I need to watch that series more.

Gdog, Outsiders might think we're silly for collecting all of these DVDs of Trek, but the show is really worth it, don't you think? BTW, I will have a DS9 question for you later (in the appropriate thread). |

Well, let them think we're silly. What does it matter what everyone else thinks? |

Because we live in a my way or the highway society and people are so sensitive to that kind of thing. It sucks but it's true. |

True enough, but if they can't accept that i like Trek, then i'm afraid it is goodbye to them! Fair enough, i don't mind taking the odd joke about it here and there, but when it gets offensive... |

Welsby, I don't care what people think one way or another. I was just writing a sentence.

Absolutely I will love Star Trek until I die. I've been a fan already for 37 years, so I don't think it's just a passing phase. When I turned 40, I decided that I wanted to get a tattoo. Perhaps it was a bit of a midlife crisis thing ... whatever prompted it, I had to think about what image I wouldn't get tired of, because a tattoo isn't easily removed. So I pondered what things I would still be liking in, say, my eighties. Naturally, Star Trek came to mind. So I got a small communicator badge tattoo. And the next year I got an IDIC tattoo. They're small and discreetly placed so most people don't know I've got them -- but I know they're there. |

No, I don't think it's a phase. It's almost a religion. Star Trek shows us idels to improve mankind- kinda hard to be drawn away from that. |

I've been watching it since I was a kid and have not tired of it yet. So, yes I suspect I will always like it... |

Awesome TribbleMom! I have been thinking about a Trek tatoo for a while, but as yet nothing really strikes me. |

I wish there was a Section 31 symbol, I would do that one. I'm thinking either Red Squad or a Bajoran underground symbol. Otherwise, I'll have to go with the Kree Diplomatic Gestalt. (I bet nobody can tell me where that's from) |
