How about a Voyager Movie
|
It is happening again. We have an awesome relationship, I now have spent more years of my life with my wife than I have without her. We have excellent communication and wonderful children. We spend quality time together every day and interact like a 1950's American Family. Rich in tradition, full of love and very active in the outdoors, the Church and the Community. Yet at the end of the day, if the Lifetime Channel has a movie of Despair it is viewed. I guess the need for the inspirational conflict is somehow pre-programmed into women. I just want to understand why that unto itself is entertainment for women on TV. It's crap for me, the worst in the human spirit, the jerry Springer mentality. My wife claims to see it as a disconnect yet engaging forum, somewhat like 24 describes it in a few words. I see these Lifetime Movies as painfull abuse of women. Yes while women have a struggle the world over against some bad men, there are also those that are treated right and worshiped for their efforts the world over. My wife will awaken at the slightest cough of our child, nurture them to wellness on a bad day, give it all up for us three with no wanting for herself. I give her extra affirmation through written word in cards, time away to herself and more. A woman needs time alone to hear herself think, to have her kids stop HAMMERING her, to gather her thoughts. She was more than just a mother and Wife, she was a person with her own job and life goals. I would and do lay the door of all wanted at her fingertips, yet the Grip of the conflicted woman is appealing in the Lifetime movies. Is this Empathy? Sympathy for fictional characters? |

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.

Women, I have to tell you something that few of you have figured out. You can throw away junk mail. It is not valuable. Nobody will come drag you away if you disgard it. You will get more tommorrow (and the next day), don't worry, and you can throw it out too. You don't need to hold on to the 4 credit card offers you recieve each day. There is always a sale at the Mall in some store. You can do it, its easy. |

^^^ Very interesting. In my house it is the man who is a pack rat and never throws anything away, including junk mail. I am constantly bitching about having to clean up after everybody. |

That's what you think! Another one for you guys to think about. Why do you blame everything and I mean everything on your wives/significant others. Last night I was talking to a friend when her husband suddenly came up and started saying "why didn't you tell me....." Her reply was "What the heck are you talking about? I didn't know that either" Afterwards she asked if my husband does that to me. Of course he does all the time. |

Because. Er... we do. It's easier than blaming ourselves! Actually, i never blamed my former GF for anything, unless i had concrete vidence it was her fault. |

I have known women who are junk-mail pile builders. I just thought that it was funny. I tease my wife that I have to fight off the seagulls circling her piles of junk. She also gets a free subscription to Parenting and some other baby magazine. She NEVER reads them. They sit and they sit for ever untouched, but if I try to throw one out, it is like I am getting rid of something valuable. "I'm gonna read them, leave my stuff alone". Every once in a while I throw some away without getting caught and she never notices. Last night, I got caught. I put them in an empty bag of dog food and was taking them to the trash can and she spotted one. Man, I was soooo close. Aarghh, she has this pile of magazines next the side of the bed that she never touches. |

In this house we blame the fairies if something goes wrong or something bad happens. We don't believe in them , but they help when no-one is willing to admit it or accept responsibilty. |
