^^^  :loling:  We have band-aids with Dora The Explorer on them. My daughter is constantly telling me she is bleeding when she is not just to get a band-aid.

Exactly!

My daughter likes the Dora the Explorer band-aids too. She has had one on each leg for about 3 days now - no "boo boo's" though. :D One day she got a hold of the box and had managed to put one on each of 7 fingers before we realized what she was doing.

My children don't know of them, but ask them about My Little Pony or Strawberry Shortcake, and you won't get them to stop talking about them! :)

My daughter asked me tonight as she pointed to my tie, "Daddy what's a tie tie?" I said "Hmm. I don't know. This is a 'tie', not a 'tie tie'. Maybe a 'tie tie' is two ties." She replied "Oh, two tie tie's".

As we carved scary faces in three pumpkins this Halloween, my four year old daughter said, "God is gonna freak out when he sees these!"

According to Bill Cosby, you are correct. ;)

as a sub-genre of this we could talk about excuses for not eating supper (super) or not going to bed.
I need to potty, will you get me a drink of water, can we read one more book, I need my teddy bear, I need my Strawberry Shortcake Doll, I need my puppy dog, I need my pony, I forgot to kiss mommy goodnight (for the twelth time), can we sing a song, I don't like this pillow, can I wear some other pajamas, .....

The one I can't stand is "I cannnnnnnnnnnn't." My wife and I hear this, and tell our children that there is no such thing as 'I can't ' in our home. ;)

Reading your "in the car" stories ....

My brother and his wife started their family with twins that arrived over 2 months early. A year later a girl arrived followed by another one a year later. (4 kids in 3 years)

Looking for "horsies" and "moo-moos" became a common way to keep them distracted in the car and maintain the couple's sanity.

One day, my brother starts on a trip, gets in the country (which takes about a minute where we live) and automatically says "Look kids - there's horsies and moo-moos".

Problem was he had his high school wrestling team in the car at the time....

Oh, and my daughters favorite lately, "Daddy I can't get my blankie folded into a square!" <insert pouty face here>

I was out with my daughter today at a Indoor Playground program. As we were getting ready to leave we noticed that it had started to snow outside (it was raining earlier in the day) The snow had just started and there was no accumulation yet - but my daughter immediately wanted to go make a snow angel. I had to explain there was not enough snow yet. Then she insisted she needed a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate so we could sit in front of a fire.

She wasn't too happy when I told her I had no firewood. :rotfl: She is sitting right now watching TV and all wrapped up in her blankie.
