Be honest. I don't drink (much - mostly teetotal) and I enjoy socialising in order to see and enjoy the silly things that drinking friends do and say. |

Usually, when i go out i have a couple of pints, then start drinking soft drinks for the rest of the night. I'm not a heavy drinker at all. So much so i only had my first proper hangover a few months ago and i'm 20! I think people that drink to get sozzled are just daft. |

^^ Guess that makes you a Milky Bar - (a glass and 1/2 or there and abouts and you're done). ![]() That's a pun on an confection bar that used we have here. OMO is a laundry powder - that you need very little of for a good wash (1/2 a CUP). |

 When I saw this thread, I thought, "Hey, my favorite pasttime!" Serioiusly, I rarely ever have more than three or four drinks. Usually I stay with one or two. However, there is that rare occasion, be it a wedding, or Christmas get together with old friends, etc. were I "loose track". I am sure some of you know how much I like beer by now, but really, I actually do like it for the taste, and honest to God would still drink it even if it didn't have alcohol in it. I most especially like to try different types of microbrew creations. But again, I rarely get tipsy, and even more rarely get full on drunk. Probably once or twice a year for the latter. Maybe once every couple weeks for the former. |

Sometimes I'll have something to drink, a glass or two at most, other times I'll refrain entirely. Depends on the circumstances. Frankly there are drinks I like, scotch for one and red wines (good Zinfandels are hard to beat in my book) for another. |

Which may explain your affinity for Voyager and disdain for DS9. Loss of brain cells. (j/k)

I only drink socially - very rarely and usually only one beer. If I'm going to drink more then I'll stay home. Unfortunately if I get drunk and I can easily misinterpret what is said to me and I get mean. Hence, I don't drink a lot! |

Its funny you should mention it cos they have a similar effect. If I ever have trouble getting to sleep, there are two solutions: 1. Drink lots of beer or 2. Watch some DS9

Desaint : That probably makes you an OMO. (Not inferring one drink is enough to make you merry.) |

I don’t know what half those things are, in fact I only know two so I didn’t vote What is a Milky Bar? OMO ? Eh ? (thanks for explaining what a Teetotal was). On the topic of drinking, I am a very good drinker I can put quite a lot away before feeling the same effects that the average drinker does. This is acutely a bad thing, as it costs more money for me to feel the same level of “happiness” as the average drinker. |

Wouldn't it be easier to have a poll that asks if you are a non-drinker, a light drinker, a moderate drinker, or a heavy drinker? This way the colloquialisms don't confuse the rest of the readers. |
