I heard snippets of this on the radio this morning. It is hilariously bad. I am wondering what is going through Shatner's mind. I may have to get this album for the novelty of it.

You can here snippets of the songs at Barnes & Noble's web site.

It is funny or terrible, you decide.

No matter the quality, people will buy it as a novelty. It's like the new Star Wars movies. They suck except for the action sequences, and I like many others, am sucker enough to pay almost ten bucks to see it in the theater and then spend another twenty to buy it on video regardless of it's suckiosity, just because there's Jedi in it.

Absolutely. In fact, we should figure out a way to quantify it to rate episodes in the new season of Enterprise.

P.S.: Don't tell proton and Fes I said that.

:jawdrop: Yeah it is hilariously bad.

Although, I think for some people that would be part of the appeal (just look at the work by Ed Wood for example and see how well that did) but I personally would also buy it for the novelty and for something to laugh at even though I couldn't do any better.

Too late! ;)

Please don't mention Shatner's new album and ENT in one and the same post. Thanks. ;)

I don't think I've ever been a fan of his singing, except in that one ST movie.

He wasn't in his best voice in that one, either. He is capable of so much more.... ;)

Having read the thread, the thoughts haven't changed.

For some reason, Shatner releasing this terrible album just makes me like him more.

Anyway, I wonder if any of the songs are about hobbits?

38957,

That's because with the exception of your opinion of Lennon, you have excellent musical tastes. :)

I love John Lennon's music, but I like the music of the Beatles much, much more. :)
