we know that the borg assimilate, but what was the borg Nursery (Discovered by Riker's away team in Q Who) for. It looked like the borg was able to give birth and that the implants were already put into the individual which is while they would be kept in the nursery. However, if they assimilate, what point would they have for it. Was it just if they assimilate children?

I think it was more of a concept change. In their first appearance it was said the Borg only wanted technology. That was changed to a desire to assimilate species.

Origianly, the Borg were born organicaly then by VOY nanoprobes appeared.

Nothing said about the Borg makes any sense if you try to think about it.

Maybe they were there because the Borg could have assimilated pregnant women, and the put that there so the pregnant women could give birth, and viola! More Borg!

In VGR, there was a Borg baby.

Just little newborns that were assimilated - put into incubators. It makes sense.

They were added by the writers to make you say "eewwww" or "aawwwwww" and likely from there clowns like us will decide to adopt a logical explanation which once decided and agreed upon becomes Paramounts view too, worst of all none of us get paid for it! :P

Think about it bro, put down the tea cup for a minute. George Lucas made one Star Wars film and we were buying action figures called Hammerhead, Snaggletooth and Walrusman.

Those sound like comic book characters.

These days those have all been re-tooled with a species and a scientific name, a race, a homeworld........ the fans really drive the details home.

The writers now have to meet OUR expectations, that may be why Enterprise is scrutinized so much, revisionalist writing was a challenging go and likely a bad idea due to the measure it must be judged upon.
