Most Shocking Twist

Last Night, I was in the mood to watch TNG (I hadn't done that on DVD in a long while) and one of the shows I saw was "Ship in a Bottle." I've seen this episode so many times, but each time, I am always completely fooled by the revelation that they were still in the holodeck. There really wasn't anything that could point to that twist, but in the end, it makes so much sense.

Another twist I love is when we find out that Bashir was replaced by a changling in "In Purgatory's Shadow." It shocks me all the time.

So, in all of trek lore, which is your favorite twist, or shocking surprise.

Mine would be the Bashir one you mentioned, you just had absolutly no idea, then it get's you thinking about the last few episodes featuring the changling Bashir, spooky!

I think the twist that most sucked me in was in TNG's 'The Chase'

It was such a great mystery ep, the first time I watched it I was transfixed, the computer program, was it a weapon, a power source, what?

And then at the end the clincher, it was a message from a race that spawned all alpha quad species ( and a race that looked rather similar to changelings ).

This one is still my favourite TNG episode

Gdog,

The first time I saw Ship In a Bottle, I had no idea what was going on. I figured it out eventually, but not before I had been fooled a couple of times.

I suppose I should venture a Voyager one,

The one that pops into my head first is the end of 'Waking Moments' when Chakotay sees to full moon on the monitor and we realise he is still in the dream - great stuff

You know, I'm still kind of confused about the ending. So Barcley, using the same method that Moriarty used used a holodeck withen a holodeck withen a holodeck? Cleaver lad.

Fes, Does Star Trek have any twists coming up in the next season?

Gdog,

Yes. Besides, you get to see Zephram Cochran's eventual place of residence, a wonderful spy-like story, Spock acting really oddly, the threat of mutiny, and the very first 'crossover' episode. :)

Yeah, there's no way they could've even tried to match Trials and Tribble-ations. Oh, wait, they did, and failed.

Most shocking twist to me was Bashir as a changling in By Inferno's Light for me as well.

That was a good one. How about the changeling as Martok (and not Gowron)?

That was also a good one. How about the leader of the Tal Shiar as a changling?

I figured something was up when they realized the whole plan was a trap.

How about the cliffhanger Jem'Hadar or the end of The Search?

How about when Dr. Bashir no longer loved Dax the way he first did? ;)
