Bez, Some people don't like clip shows. I liked it, and thought it was done very well. Because it was early on in TNG, I thought that the clips were relevant and interestingly presented. |

I hate clip shows - but SoG is different. Over half of SoG was original material, and the clips they used were both relevant to the Riker story and excellent ones to choose. |

^^^ Precisely. Maybe that's why I like it as much as I do. I think I've actually grown to like it more over the years. |

I'll amaze CPA again, because I love Shades of Gray. Yeah, it was a clip show, but it showed the love between Riker and Troi, and all the clips they used were perfect choices in context of the episode. I here this episode called garbage by many trek fans, but I just don't see it. |

Beverly Crusher gets my vote. Her character was rather resourceful, even in situations when you'd think the CMO would be more likely to get flustered. Solving a murder that wasn't a murder, commanding the Enterprise in "Descent" and taking out the renegade Borg ship are a couple of examples that come to mind. |
