I chose Uhura, Nichols was a pioneer for women in trek, and a classy lady |

I said other, and would go with Guinan. She was so spiratual, and she made a better councellor than Troi ever did. It was great to Whoopi make a name for herself in the series. |

But Guinan wasn't a terran so she would not be included in this poll. |

Do half-humans count? I was wondering why Troi was not in the poll, so I figured that she didn't count as she is only half-human. Tores is also half-human. |

I'm going to go with Kassidy Yates. I know, I know, I am partial to DS9, but she showed that she is just as fearless and dedicated as Starfleet and just as capable of handling a crew as Sisko. |

She was in 19th century earth as a human, and her phyiology is so close to our own. To me, that's what counts. |
