I am looking for a new pop-up blocker. I had Pop-up Stopper by: Panicware, but I recently had to format my harddrive and when I went to download another copy of the software it was a different version (the only free version available). The newer version is inferior to the older version (go figure). Any recommendations? |

If you have XP, when you update it with service pack 2, they give you a pop-up blocker free...so far it has blocked everything. |

That is waste of anybody's time when a pop-up blocker can run in the background blocking what can amount to dozens of pop-ups appearing in a half an hours time on the net. The file size of my current pop-up blocker is less than 1mb as well (doesn't take up much resources). Having a good Pop-up Blocker is just as important as having Spybot and Ad-aware installed on your computer in my opinion. They all enhance your experiences with your computer that much more. |

I think that you should use Netscape to browse. It's more secure than IExplorer, and has an excellent pop-up blocker. |

Actually, Netscape is not really more secure. It's just not the primary target of hackers, spyware, and viruses because it isn't the leading browser. So it suffers fewer attacks and therefore breaches. |

I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser. It has a built in pop up blocker. They say it's more secure, but that is also in part due to the fact that it is not the leading browser. |
