38957 - Your daughter and mine sound like twins separated at birth! My older daughter was a completely different personality. I can honestly say she never embarrased me by saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. She seems to have a pretty good instinct about those things. Now if only I could get her to stop talking Nintendo all the time  |

I agree. It is quite nice in Michigan today--mostly sunny, with temps. in the 60s.

Whew! What a busy day! This is the first I could come here all day! Anyway, I loved all those baby stories. Minuet, your "large belly" story reminded me of another one that happened last weekend. My daughter, being adopted from Colombia, is a little smaller than most of the kids in her age group because Colombians tend to be smaller than Americans. Because of that, before she was potty trained, one of her daycare teachers told her one day that she has a "tiny hiny" while she was being changed. This expression has hung around at daycare and at home ever since. Lately, my daughter has been saying "No, I have a FAT hiny! I have the FATTEST hiny world" (that is, "in the world"). Then, over the weekend she started telling my wife and I that we have fat hiny's too. The kicker came in the middle of the grocery store when she blurted out "Mommy, you have a fat hiny!" I'm not sure what was funnier, that or my wife's hysterical laughter that could be heard clear to the other side of the store!

I'm happy because we got a catered breakfast at work today, which was our managers' way of saying thanks for a lot of hard work and long hours to get ready for the big Labor Day sales all of our branch stores were having. I'm also happy that we don't have to work so much overtime anymore. In addition to breakfast (which was delicious), we also each got $20.00, so I also went out to eat tonight as well. (I just love it when I don't have to clean up any dishes). And now I'm happy because I've just finished that load of laundry and I'm headin' for bed! Ah, it's the simple things in life...... |

I am happy today because it is lovely and sunny. Minuet, your belly story reminded me of my friend from Brunei. She was new to the country last year and consequently not very street wise. One day we were stood in a queue behind this enourmous really rough looking bloke. He had a tatoo in chinese on the back of his neck, and she turned to me in a not so quite voice and said "That's supposed to say dragon, but it's spelt wrong." I really thought he would turn round and punch us. |

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.

^^^ That is very funny for some reason. Maybe the guy went and punched the tatooist instead. |
