Now - what a wonderful idea .... ?
That Alf guy would probably make a very fine Prez, better certainly than the current bloke , and probably better than Kerry as well.

Ok, I took it that you quoted one specific sentence I wrote and took it to be what I thought the whole article was about. To be clear that was just one thing the article said.

Personal Response

Yes, I was taking one sentence (basically).

No, I didn't think you thought that was what the whole article was about.

And no, I don't think that the article said the one thing that you referred to in your post.

I don't think the author is saying that Bush has large, open events and that it is part of his criticism of Bush.

End of Personal Response

Ok, I am not sure how this got so confused.

The article claimed that Bush events were closed and Kerry events were open. This is biased and untrue. My personal position is that I am sure both candidates have both kinds of events.

My point in posting the article was that some posters (and I don't think you were one of them, Wichita) have accused Kerry of being aloof and closing off his events. I just wanted to point out the open air events as proof that this is not true. I am not saying that Bush is aloof. I will state again. Both candidates have both kinds of events.
