the namekenidy shouldn't even come close to any other name on the list, so it was probably a joke played by a low level member of the TSA. not too funny, but I don't think any high level adminatration officals had anything to do with it.

Why wouldn't it come close? Kennedy is a fairly common name.

My understanding is that the airlines currently maintain the watch lists.
