Ok , another new game.

Rules:

1. Post at least two lines of the lyrics from a song and the person who gets it right asks the next question

2. The songs should be reasonably well known, ie: were at one time on the radio

3. The most obscure lyrics from popular songs would be cool

4. The answer must have artist and song title

5. From any era

Ok I'll go first..................

"I was beat, incomplete
I'd been had, I was sad and blue
But you made me feel
Yeah, you made me feel
Shiny and new"

Madonna - Like a Virgin

Next song:

Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he's talking to Davy who's still in the Navy
And probably will be for life

Billy Joel- Piano man

Next Song:

London calling to the faraway towns
Now that war is declared-and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, all you boys and girls

Is it London Calling (Clash)?

Next song:

For we have crossed many oceans
And we labor in between
In life there are many quotients
And I hope I find the mean

U2- With or without you

Next Song:

You wake up late for school - man you don't wanna go

You ask you mom, "Please?" - but she still says, "No!"

You missed two classes - and no homework

But your teacher preaches class like you're some kind of jerk

CP,

Yes, it's Wash Away Those Years (Creed). It's the saddest pop song I've ever heard.

Is yours With or Without You (by U2)?

Next song:

And ignorance and hate may mourn the dead
It is believing, it is believing

But listen to the colour of your dreams
It is not leaving, it is not leaving

So play the game "Existence" to the end
Of the beginning, of the beginning

Mine still stands (at least for a while! ;))

Tomorrow Never Knows ---> Beatles

They say the only sure things
in this life are death and taxes

I don't agree I beg to differ
'cause the fact is

I once met this old wise man on a hill
Who never gave his Uncle Sam
a damn dollar bill

I said are you afraid to die?
He said son, what you talkin'?
I'll be comin' back
as that dog you're walkin'

Dandandat,

Correct. :)

Woman's Got A Mind to Change (by Bacon Brothers).

Next song:

Ain't it hard when you discover that
He really wasn't where it's at
After he took from you everything he could steal.

Aerosmith - Walking the dog

Next:

"I'm goin' to Wichita
Far from this opera forevermore
I'm gonna work the straw
Make the sweat drip out of every pore
And I'm bleeding and I'm bleeding and I'm bleeding right before my lord
Oh, the words are going to bleed from me and I will think no more"
