Ok, Thought i'd start a general trivia thread for all those useless facts that have to be used somewhere. Some rules: 1. This is for non trek trivia 2. This is for trivial information, please dont let this get political 3. Anyone can ask a question, it must be in multiple choice format First question: What is the fastest speed ever achieved on a bicycle? A. 105 kmph by Fred Flinstone B. 268 kmph by Fred Rompelberg C. 43 kmph by Charlie Chaplin D. 161 kmph by Fred Durst |

I believe that it is the US. I have heard that Oklahoma has the highest number of tornados of any place in the world. The combination of Gulf Stream air and Canadian currents mixing across the American plains is the perfect recipe for tornados. A |

Actually it is the UK. The question was highest no of tornadoes per square km while obviously the US does have more, and bigger tornadoes , the size of the UK ups this figure. Source: Guiness Book of Records. I would assume it is a similar situation to Australia, although we are not known for it we do get a fare share of F1's, but we dont get the scary F3+'s you see in tornado alley. |

CP, I hate to say it, but I must dispute your findings on this one. The National Weather Service states that Oklahoma is the site of the most tornadoes per square km on the face of the earth.

^^^ Which means either one of two things: 1) CP's game is now null and void; or 2) it's your turn, Doctortobe!

^^^ I am sure you are correct Doc. But my question was Which Country... Its just a law of averages thing, and a tricky question, the size diffrenece between the UK and the US makes the difference. |
