It's too bad he never got to flesh out his character more. I like the actor, but the character seems so 2 dimensional. I would've been nice to see some growth in him over seven years. Seems like he didn't change at all. |

^^^ Agreed. I thought he showed us a bit more in the episode where we get to meet Libby. I also enjoyed the clarinet angle for Harry.

I remember in Drone, there was a LT. that worked in the science lab, altrhough you never saw interaction between them, some guy in the science lab outranked the guy that was in charge of the ship on the nightshift!?!?!? |

I never thought of that. Just about everybody on DS9 changed rank execpt of course O'Brien. Maybe promotions have to be cleared through Starfleet Command? |

Tom's rank changed a few times. First he was promoted, then he had it taken away (when he was sent to the brig for helping the water planet) and later he was reinstated at the higher level. So, at least in the world of Voyager field promotions did exist, just not for Harry. |
