Webster Hubbell? Have we forgotten him? He was Clinton's Deputy Attorney General. Jim McDougall? He planned Whitewater and brought in the Clintons. They're connected to the president, as is Susan McDougall (wife of Jim, alleged lover of Bill Clinton), David Hale (big Clinton fundraiser), Stephen Smith (former aide to Gov. Clinton). |

Were there any charges against the president himself? Or just people who worked for him? |

Not after the investigation, BUT, Dick Morris mentioned something recently: http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/5/4/224642.shtml (Just look at what Morris said, not where it comes from) Whitewater itself came out of the investigation of Vince Foster's death. In addition, the Clintons were accused of fraud in connection with this investment during the Securities and Exchange Commission's investigation of the bankruptcy of Madison Guaranty, an Arkansas trust company. |

I know that the Clintons were suspected of wrongdoing, but a multi million dollar investigation turned up nothing. My point is, if Clinton had business ties to the Bin Ladens, he probably would've been investigated. Seems like he spent a lot of his time sitting in court on charges that were either minor or disproven thereby not only wasting taxpayer dollars on the legal investigation, but keeping him from doing his job. |

Continued Personal Pique Didn't misquote me, huh? That's good. Now you can point out where, in my posts from this thread, I stated that I was not interested in the business relationship between the Bush family and the Bin Laden family. This coming from your statement ..
BTW, Just because you know little about the business relationship between the Bush family and the Bin Laden family, it doesn't mean that others don't. The fact is that you have no idea about what I know or what my interest is in the subject. But please, point out where I said it that I was not interested.
Actually my question was:
If the Michael Moore proves that the Bush family and the Bin Laden family have/had a business relationship, what is the next step? *Have the Bin Laden family been shunned because one of 53 children happens to be named Osama? Are they guilty of his alleged crimes because they happen to be related to him. (If society is going with that plan, I'm definitely SOL. )*Is a business relationship a "criminal offense" in and of itself? *Is investing in the same company that the Bin Laden family invested in a crime? (In that case, I suspect a number of posters on this board are SOL.) *What is the importance of a business relationship between the Bush FAMILY and the Bin Laden FAMILY? *Since the Bin Laden family are worth something like 5 billion, they undoubtedly have business relationships with other people of importance (a former Prime Minister of England, for one) world-wide? Are those people also going to be investigated? You're right - there were a number of questions that could have been answered.
Were we discussing Moore's movie? I thought we were discussing the relevance of the supposed business relationship between the Bin Laden FAMILY and the Bush FAMILY. Having perused some of the 117,000 links on the subject from Google, I don't really feel a need to wait for the movie, but, if you do, go for it. End of Continued Personal Pique |

Yes Witchita: We must guard agianst rich influential people getting to know other rich influential people. We'll amend the freedom to associate so that people of a certain socioeconomic backgraound can only associate with lower rungs of society. The fact the the Bush's have had ammiable relationships with Suadis in the past is not news. It may have actually helped in the first gulf war. So my question is. Is Moore going to claim illegal or improper dealings? Or is he trying for guilt by association? BTW: Clinton was impeached for wrong doing. Star told congress that he didn't have time to properly investigate the Clintons dealings in Whitewater becuase of the Statute of limitations. Congress granted him braoder authority to investigate any rong doing by Bill and Hillary. Janet REno gave Star authority to investigate claims of lying before a grand jury. Remeber Hillary refused to give investigators the documents taken from Vince Fosters office until she was threatened with a supena. Then the documents suddenly turned up in a whitehouse common area. Both Bill and Hillary are pieces of human excrement that did much to damage the image of the Democratic party. ANOVA |

How about a Voyager Movie

JFK had other women in the white house, his pop allegedly bought votes in Cook County IL. FDR had a temptress on the side behind Eleanors back. Jefferson was slamming Sally Hemmings. Dick Nixon lied his ass off about everything and called Pat Nixon "Buddy". Andrew Johnson was a Drunk, so was U.S.Grant. Spin all the crap you want about Slick Willie, but he chapped the asses of republican candidates in back to back elections. So he was trapped into lying about head. Great job Ken Starr. The whole time he is concentrating on these political attacks, real danger is growing. By the way this is not the time for any clowns to request a link from me supposedly 'proving' anything. You know exactly what I am saying. Disagree if you do fine but the Clinton punking, especially over 'Whitewater" is worn out propoganda. Adding Clinton smacking into everything is weak. What did Clinton do that was so bad? 1. Failed to get Osama when should have. I agree, but would he have gotten support from congress to invade Afganistan? I think not. 2. The Somolia disaster, pulling out because he inherited the crisis as he took office and was not commited. (See JFK inheriting the CIA bay of bigs plot from Ike's administration.) My point is, you must think all of the above Presidents "pieces of hman excrement" as well. Keep it in perspective. If not for term limits Clinton likely runs and wins again I believe he was that good at getting the swing votes and centrists.(see soccer moms) |

JS, Juanita Broderick claimed that Bill Clinton raped her. As to prosecution, the victim doesn't always get to choose whether the case goes forward or not. |

If the measuring stick on a President relies on allegations, what should we all think about Jefferson? FDR? JFK? Heck even John Adams was accused of scandel as was Old Hickory. History sorts out the bullcrap and reveals the true President. How will Slick Willie be viewed in 100 years?

My apologies Wichita, I thought by saying "so what?" that you were indictating you weren't interested in finding out more about Bush and Bin Ladens business relationships. I wonder how I could have gotten that idea?

Personal Response That's a question only you can answer. Since the statement is untrue and I never said it, I could only speculate on how you came up with that impression. Meanwhile, I still have no clue why the business relationship between Bush FAMILY and the Bin Laden FAMILY (what I was ACTUALLY talking about) has any relevance whatsoever. (Assuming, of course, the intent is not the extremely terrifying alternative option.) End of Personal Response |

What's your problem? Are you now denying you said "So what?" in response to the content of the new Moore movie? I see it's pointess trying to talk to you. |
