I listened to the Savage Nation today, and have some thoughts to share. If you do not know who he is go to his web site (guess what THAT URL is) or go touch up the hangman thread like 8247 likes to do.

Savage has a radio talk show and has written a book, maybe several. He had a shord lived TV show segment on MSNBC until he told a gay caller "I hope you get AIDS and die you Soddomite." Savage is so close to being able to deliver truth but he begins to reveal his twisted angry hating. Too bad. I enjoy most of his commentary. He makes you think most of the time.

Here is how you are to weed out the nutjobs. They are making sense, they are talking.... they got you.... you are listening..... you are almost there..... they are making their point.... Then-suddenly the brakes go on, a flag goes up and they have a MELT DOWN. Another guy who was too extreme was Alan Keyes. Remember that joker? I remember watching him one year campaigning for the Dem ticket and he was making sense I was following him, I was like, wow this guy gets it, I hear him and THEN...........trainwreck, I don't recall what he said but I remember stepping back and saying "what the crap is this guy talking about?"
There are nutjobs out there. Wierd how they are so extreme.

Did anyone else remember Keyes? Speaking of Meltdowns, remember that Governor from Vermont?

Fes was right, my posts are rambling. :headscratch: (whats with the blue chimp scratching his head?)

No, he's not a nutjob. Savage is rude, he is abrasive, and he often pi$$es me off with his tone, but he's not a nutjob. To me he sounds like a typical Bronx native.

P.S. Alan Keyes campaigned for the Republican nomination in 2000 and 1996. Were you thinking of Al Sharpton?

No, Keyes. With the beard.

If Savage hates gays so much why is he in San Francisco?
By nutjob I mean he will go so extreme that people start to back off. You ever sensed that at all?

Oh wait, I remember... Keyes wasn't invited to a 1996 debate between all the Republican candidates, and he did have a hissy fit. I was glad he did at the time, because I voted for him in the primary. Now, I'm sorry he made such a display.

I don't listen to Savage often enough to agree or disagree with you. He just needs to learn how to better deal with a nervous caller. I usually listen to someone/something else.

Now for a bit of a diversion on to others named Michael...

Question: What does Michael Jackson like about twenty-eight year olds?
Answer: The fact that there are 20 of them.

Next, I move on to a Michael who is at least as crazy as Savage or Jackson - Michael Moore.

Anyone catch his accusation that Walt Disney was censoring his anti-Bush docu-fiction "Fahrenheit 911"?

Moore admits Disney 'ban' was a stunt

Less than 24 hours after accusing the Walt Disney Company of pulling the plug on his latest documentary in a blatant attempt at political censorship, the rabble-rousing film-maker Michael Moore has admitted he knew a year ago that Disney had no intention of distributing it.

Obviously that's not making as much airplay as his original accusation.

Or Glenn Beck May shove a toothpick into his temple.

Read the Glenn Beck hatemail. (Guess what THAT URL is)
One gut actually tells him to shut his 'cock holster' and listen. :thud: :rotfl: :thud:

Speak softly, and carry a 57 megaton stick!
Glenn can be a bit rude at times. When that happens, I just end up turning him off. He is great with speeches and commentary, but he is not so good at talking with people with different opinions.

Although Michael Moore is somewhat abrasive and over the top, like in his Oscar acceptance speech :rotfl: sometimes he doesn't know when to shut up, but I disagree that people don't care what he has to say. His books are best sellers, his documentaries are also big sellers. You think millions of people buy that stuff because they don't care what he has to say?

No one of importance really cares what Michael Moore has to say.

Personal Opinion

I had to watch several of Michael Moore's documentaries (from the Clinton era) as part of my Master's Program. As a result, I am not likely to see his new ones.

He's what we used to call - a user. He'll put anybody on tape to make his point and then he's done with them.

End of Personal Opinion

Keyes was the last Republican I supported. None of the others have even a basic understanding of a limited federal government.

Yeah.... rude indeed. Sort of like Don Imus. I take that back. Don Imus is grumpy as well as rude but he makes sense to me. Michael Savage doesn't make sense to me. You have to give the man credit for saying what he believes.

Now, is Savage a Bush supporter or more simply a Democrat hater?

Let's call him extreme.

Do you agree with a lot of what he says or do you sympathize with him because he supports Bush?

Just curious.
