The other Captain Janeway Review; Not Kate! that other one

I just finished up watching the featurettes for the Voyager box sets, and I think Kate Mulgrew spoke well during her little time captule section. I think it was pretty good ideas for Voyagers original premurse, but it got lost along the way. Anyway after I watched the unseen footage of the other Janeway, I hink the actress was really bad. She was bland, and as if she had no life to Janeway. Kates version ws very differnt, she said stright and forward, she didn't seen to say it as if it was off cue cards. UGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! The Original Series seems to out of place here, for one it seemed as if they didn't look right with a Voyager label on it. Kes stunk, the actress said she was ploite or and ot rude. She was was. She interfeared with many aspects of others and interfeared in Starfleet operations. Ohterwise this box sets get a 5 out of ten.

Kes Stunk? :please:

Kes was a very unique character. Yeah she got a rough start, but she was such an innocent, always turned to Janeway for guidence, and it was a shame to see her leave in favor of the 7 of 9 show.

I didn't like Seven she was too much of an airhead. She had no brains and most pretty ladies have them. Kes, was good? She bugged the hell out of me. Well seeming you said please I take it back.

No, you have a right to your opinion. I just think it was a bit extreme. Like you, I actually didn't like kes until "Before and After." It was this episode with that beautiful new hairstyle that I found her to really be a great character.

Gdog,

Fact: You and I are the only two people in existence whom believe this, *and* whom believe that ENT is getting better. :) ;)

No count me in as well.

I didnt really hate the character Kes, it was just that in too many episodes she would appear just to give one of her sickly sweet pep talks and then disappear.
If she had been given more screen time, she would have been more likeable.

And yes, the more I rewatch ENT , the more I am loving it

This is nice to read. Hey, in a few years, maybe we'll be looking back at season one and season two episodes and realize that they weren't too bad after all. :)

I already think season 2 is just as good, if not better, than a lot of other trek

Gdog,

Yep, that's about right. But I think that TOS seems not to be prone to this as much.... ;)

After watching my first TNG episode I was so disappointed, because it wasn't exactly like TOS, I didn't watch another TNG episode for 2 years. Now I feel TNG was the best series ever (with the possible exception of the last 3 seasons of DS9). So who knows, maybe I'll learn to like ENT as well... in about 60 years from now

BTW, Kes was much too sweet and I pretty much enjoyed watching the 7 of 9 show eventhough I felt it wasn't realistic to put clothes on a drone.

They did have to keep Voyager PG13 ya now. :P

How you talked about TNG is how I feel about DS9. I liked DS9 before, but I lost interest during the original run. Now I can't get enough. I still like TNG a lot though.

How about a Voyager Movie
Kes had pointy ears. Seven had a thick rack, which is important on a starship. Think about, '5 year mission'........... :ermm: Send the Major Kira types back to DS9 and liberate a Busty Borg Beauty. Where's the harm in that? I can't see a problem.

Seven had a thick rack.

:loling:

Do you mean spice rack?, I dont remember seeing her cooking ;)

Actually, I caught her on 'Boston Public' a few nights ago, I never noticed it on Voyager, but she does have big fish eyes.

Still, those that say the good looking ones cant act may be just a wee bit jealous.

Blalock certainly can act as she has shown, the only trouble is half the time I'm not concentrating on her acting ;)
