Anyone else notice that Somerled changes the topic when he is refuted?

I think I pointed that out at least three pages ago ;)

Sorry, you probably did :)

I'm perfectly willing to admit when I am wrong, and I have done so. Why is it so hard for him?

Because we have made some very serious allegations about his views and rather then being man enough to admit his biases he would rather like to deflect the question by focusing on what he percieves as our biases.

In other words - would you admit to being an anti-semite?

Not I. (Of course I am not, so that's another reason.) I can only think of one former member who would admit is if he were anti-Semitic (Mr. B).

Somerled has made stereotypical remarks about Jews and money, politics, and the ever-present "They control everything" kind of remark. It could be called simple ignorance or even provincialism. I wonder, though, if he feels any shame?

We're off for a bike ride!

It was 79 degrees, we did six miles (not bad for a 44 year-old with a bad knee and a 10 year old with his first big bike). Winds were out of the northeast at about 10 knots, with the occasional gust to 20. One nice thing about where we live now compared to Houston... farm roads!

I think my son had more fun. I just popped a few Advil! It has been rainy all weekend, so this was the chance to go out and do something physical that didn't involve Katy Mills Mall, large crowds of people, or (yeeech) Chuck E. Cheese!

I will admit, a bike ride with one of my sons has it over Chuck E. Cheese any day of the week--and, I've done both as well.... ;)
