I just watched Robinson Crusoe on Mars and it reminded me of my childhood. I know some of you remeber these movies. Which is your favorite? My favorites are Fantastic Voyage and Journey to the Far side of the Sun. |

I like most of the movies on the list but my favorite Sci-Fi film from the 60's is a movie called The Monitors. As far as I can tell it's only been aired once in my area in the past 15 years and it's not available on DVD or VHS
.Back when the local staions were still showing old films in the early morning I set my VCR to tape what sounded like a promising low budget film and came up with a gem. Based on a story by Keith Laumer It's a satire about a resistance group that forms to fight benevolent aliens who have brought peace to the earth. It was shot around the Chicago area and had a cast that included Guy Stockwell, Avery Schreiber, Larry Storch, Keenan Wynn, Ed Begley Sr. and Trek veterans Susan Oliver (Vina) and Sherry Jackson (Mona). This film even has cameos by Xaviar Cugat, Sen. Everett Dirksen and two or three of the Arkins. I really wish that someone would release this on DVD. |

ooo, I loved The Time Machine, it had a certain charm to it, and looked pretty good for its time, the mordok costumes were rather well done and the colour, what ever type the used, technicolour added to the charm. That would be my favourite, closely followed by Fantastic Voyage which has always fascinated me, it was a very original concept. Andromeda Strain - was that 60's ? if so that would be my third choice that was edge of your seat stuff. |

^^^ Actually Dan, we did a 50's thread already... Link: http://invisionfree.com/forums/SisterTrek/...?showtopic=2056 Once again there really too many to say any one is my absolute favorite, but I'll have to go with 2001. If only because of Clarke's ability to utilize hard science in his stories... |

That sounds like an early seventies porn film, like Flesh Gordon.

I could watch Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea over and over...I managed to tape the letterbox version off of AMC a few years back in their pre-commercial days... Fantastic Voyage was great for its time as well... BTW, I managed to find a paperback of Theodore Sturgeon's novelization of VTTBOTS at a tag sale about six years ago, in good shape.
