State Quarters

Is anyone else collecting the state quarters? In the beginning I had no problem finding one everytime they were released. But now I haven't seen any new ones since the Maine quarter was released last June. I wonder if they're being released in different parts of the country than before or maybe people are now hoarding them more than before.

IE,

Yes, our children collect them. I'll find out which ones were (e.g.) the last five that were issued. :)

Thanks Fesarius. The best place to find out is my "state quarters" link above. ;)

I'm not wondering what they are (Missouri, Arkansas, Michigan), but why I haven't seen any of them.

I have almost every one of them. Last year I went to home to New York, we travelled down to Atlantic city in New Jersay and I collected almost every quarter it was really good and I had fun doing that. I got to see alot of differnt states and its insterresting to see who has been there. I even collected some for my cusians who live in Illonis, they got a few so I sent them a whole bucket load. Too bad I was almost throwen out by the security because he thought I was under age he even thought my passport wasn't even real. So at least I got to sit and drink a bottle of Hanks Rootbeer it was the nicest taste of Rootbeer since A&W. hhhhhhmmmmmmmm ROOTBEER! God I miss that taste. :ermm: :( IE head down to Atlantic City or Vegas and head to the slot mashcines and get them there. I think people are kepping them for themselves.

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
You can order them from the mint or something, my wifes Aunt orders the latest 5 quarters every year as gifts for my daughters. That way they haven't been rattling around in someones pocket getting all scratched up.

True. Since I have been able to find ones in great shape up until now, I was trying to avoid paying for them. But that is an option if I can't come across them another way.

Apparently we look like this now
Someone who was fanatical about collecting those quarters was once trying to get me to empty my pockets to see if I had the one quarter he didnt have. I asked him what the big deal was, and he told me that these quarters will be worth money in the future. I thought about it, and I told him that he was right. They WILL be worth money.

Yes, I'm collecting them with my son. We're all the way through 2003 in the "D" coins, but still lack the entire year in "P" coins. I'll be heading northeastward next month, and I'll do my best to get more then.

IE,

Hi. We have those three already, so they have made their way to Michigan. BTW, I think 8247's price is a reasonable one. ;)

Interesting AB. I didn't know there was more than one series. Thanks for mentioning that.
