It is baseball season again!!!! Anybody else as glad as I about baseball? My team lost their home opener last night (ho hum). I love this time of year. Baseball on at least 4 channels. No mention of Football for at least a few months. Basketball is winding down and almost gone for another summer. We don't get much Hockey coverage here in Texas anyway. Also, I understand that they began playing DS9 on Spike last night. Poor timing. I'm not going to turn off baseball for that. The Masters is coming along this weekend as well. It is spring and all is right. |

Blue Jays lost by a wide margin yesterday. I was excited about the start of the season, now I'm not so sure.

^^^ Delay your trepidation, Batman! The Blue Jays can still go 161-1.

^^^ Now let's be a little more realistic. I'd say 160-2 is more like it.

^^^ Agreed. I have a lot of respect for those Reds teams of the 1970s. I believe they had close to 120 wins at least once--yowza! |

The Reds never won close to 120 games. The record is 116 (Chicago Cubs 1906, Seattle Mariners 2001). They won 108 in 1975 and 102 in 1976. As for the BJ's, they are in the same division as the Bosox and the (ahem) once and future champion Yankees. In other words, forget it. |

Well, I guess 108 isn't that close to 120. Thanks for the info., however. |

Well, I'm not sure about this year - but the Jays are also past World Series Champions. |

I'm glad Baseball's back. Good to see Vonds doing his usual thing last night with his exciting homerun to tie the game. I hope it's a good season for The Giants and A's. |
