I'm Captain Kirk!
If anyone is interested, Band of Brothers airs next Sunday on the History channel and runs until the following Tuesday. I think it is one of the greatest WWII films ever made!

I've never subscribed to premium cable and have never gotten around to renting it, so I have yet to see it...

^^^It's available on DVD. I bought my husband the box set for his birthday a year and a half ago. You should be able to rent it.

Well , a mini series.

Cant stand the first one - what were they thinking when they cast David Schwimmer, kept on think - yeah but thats Ross when I watched it - expected Chandler and Joey to pop out of somewhere.

But from the second one on - Day of Days - I think it was called it is brilliant, the interviews with the surviving members of easy company were great, makes you wonder how you would go in those situations.

While we are on the subject of war movies, there is one a saw long ago, but cant remeber the name, It had Lee Remick and Mark Hamil, theres one scene where Remick plays the sargeant they are on a beach and he orders Hamil to set up on of those grenade in the tube things, a couple of guys died trying previously , hamil hesitates half way through and remick shoots at him, thats all i can remeber. Does anyone know wth i'm talking about?

Not sure if I got the name right - is Lee remick the guy that was in the Dirty Dozen, or a female movie star???

Lee Marvin is who you are thinking of, and Lee Remick is indeed a woman. The movie you're thinking of is "The Big Red 1".

You gotta read the book! David Schwimmer is perfect for the part! He plays the perfect perk! My favorite episodee are Day of Days and Carentan.
