Islam is the 2nd largest religion in Europe and the fastest growing religion in Europe.

Islam is growing but I dont fear Islam as such. I fear radicals who want to blow up the Underground in a bid to force me to become a Muslim.

I'd bet that any anti-Semitic violence in the UK is higher amongst the Muslim population than from the goose-stepping white supremests.

DS9074,

Interesting links. Why does the BNP worry you? (Just curious, as I'm not from Britain.)

It worries me because people are obviously voting for these racists. If they took control of that council God knows what they could achieve. I know they would not nessasarily turn on me personally but they could poison race relations in this country. It could mean riots and bloodshed.

If they do/did take control of the council I think the only solution (and this is not very democratic I know) would be for Parliament to intervene and overturn the election result.

DS,

Okay, thanks. I don't know much about the situation. If it is anything like the mindsets of other extreme groups, then I understand completely.

These BNP are like neo-facists dressed up as a political party. Their hate wouldnt stop at Muslims it would extend to others, Jews for example and foreigners. Internationally they would pull us out of the EU for a start and isolate Britain. This has always been an outward looking country (for good and bad) and to "close our borders" would be a disaster.

DS, from your articles I guess we can both see now how the UK came to be so high on that chart.

It is good that we have been able to open your eyes to the fact that racism does exist in the UK and all of Europe. Acknowledging it's existence is the first step to fighting it.

ds9074, do you realize that the fascists - specifically the NAZI's - were in league with the Muslim Brotherhood, which is the forefather of every Muslim radical organization on the planet. In fact, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan al Banna, was a supporter of Germany and Hitler. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el-Husseini, was also a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and he spent part of WW2 in Germany as well.

There are ties between the radical Muslims and the NAZI movements, and those ties go back to WW2.

I guess I knew that there was racism its just that I dont see it. I think the problem is that if you come out here to the Shires of England we might not be all that knowledgable about your religion or culture but were not going to beat you up about it. Thats my experience.

Yet it seems that if you go into the inner cities and/or in the poorer areas partiularly of the north of England you may find that the story is not the same at all.

ds9074, is your lack of comments on my words on the Muslim Brotherhood and NAZI's a tacit admission that the links are there or is it some form of silent retort?
