Does Hoshi get any more interesting through seris two and three? So far to me she has seemed a really dull character. She never gets anything to do.

Someone must. Look at the ratings (still dropping). I'm not talking about just the members of SisterTrek no longer watching, I mean all Enterprise watchers. There was a letter campaign to NBC back at the end of the second season (in 1968), getting them to keep TOS on the air. Maybe we should do the reverse... if no one watched, then the show would either be cancelled or reformatted. |

Especially Data. First he was a Spock ripoff, then he was a "troubled soul looking for humanity"... please. Lastly, with that stupid "emotion chip" (you know that was a Braga invention), he became human in everything but flesh. Never liked the character. |

I've seen every episode of Enterprise that has aired so far and I have a question: Who is Hoshi? Oh wait, you must mean that language specialist who hardly got any screen time in the beginning and since then has gotten even less...

Oh dear Impulsengine, that was just what I was afraid of. I wonder why they even bother.

I think Data getting the emotion chip was in part a demand of Spiner's to get him to agree to be in Generations. Roddenberry was on record as saying Data was essentially Pinnochio... |

I don't know why they bother. You would think that with so many complaints about the series, character development would be an obvious place to work on improving. Not only have the failed with Hoshi, but Mayweather has been completely underused too. 2 characters out of 7 "missing in action" is not a very good track record IMO. |

I'd have to agree with that IE. I already though there were not enough main characters, and from what I've seen so far Trip gets too many story lines, even though I do quite like the character. Its such a waste of talent.

Is it too late to save Enterprise? I think that it is. I would rather NOT have a Star Trek series on TV than have this drivel be shown as "Star Trek" anything! We survived before, and we'll survive again! |

The only drivel here is coming from you. I happen to like the current series of enterprise. Sure the first series was a little dull at times, but it improved vastly during series 2 and now series 3 is mostly excellent with just the occasional dull episode. Also about the theme music, I think the words sum up the general idea of the show perfectly, about our struggle to improve ourselves and other peoples (vulcans) ploy to hold us back. I think you are all just upset because it is different... humans are afraid of change. Also being sung by a Brit might come into it to! At the end of the day, no-one is forcing you to watch it. If you truly do dislike it that much, simply dont watch it. Leave the rest of us who actually do enjoy it to watch it in peace. People like you always have to spoil it for the rest of us. And lastly, I am seeing plenty of negative destructive criticism, but I dont think I have seen too many actual suggestions on what you would actually like to see. |

I'm curious as to why, specifically, you feel this way. What is it about the show that you find mostly excellent or vastly improved? |

Could it be that the VX01 is ill-equipped to face the challenges and crew are not as aloof as other crews in the Star Trek jaundra. Kind of like the spirit of exploration that Cook or Magellan exhibited - going out in a small ship to explore the great unknown...... maybe ? The concept is good .... it'll improve I would think. |

I emailed Channel 9 programming, and they replied that Enterprise season 3, and Smallville ( the rest of season 2 ) had not yet been confimed for programming in 2004 - > which makes this Proton not very happy .We still are yet to see Season 7 of Voyager screen on TV ( not that I care, I have them all on tape ), still, I am a little annoyed that my local station is not supporting trek, yet puts on crappier sci fi shows like Witchblade and Birds of Prey. I am still perplexed as to Paramount's reasoning for not releasing Trek DVD's soon enough, TOS not till next year, and TAS who knows when, when these two come out I will be purchasing them for sure ( although I may copy TAS ). Out of the dozen or so Video stores in my area , there is one that is really good ( has a HUGE range ) , I can go in there, rent out every single - Doctor Who, Andromeda, Battlestar Galatica,Twilight Zone DVD's but I cant get Voyager, TOS or TAS ?!!?!?!? |
