I have heard and made a lot of complaints about Enterprise. People complain about the contradictions, the inconsistancies, the inapropriate actions, and lots of other things. We all have seen the signs that Enterprise may be headed for cancelltion. My thoughts are that as is I'm not sure Enterprise should be saved. My overall question is what cna we as fans do to not only save Enterprise from cancelation, but to improve the quality of the show? My problem is I'm sure there are many things we can do to save it from cancellation, but what's most important to me is the improvement. |

I can't believe B&B, Paramount, etc. supposedly listened to fans and took this 3rd season in a whole new direction only to have it turn out that they included almost none of anything that fans were saying. What they included was "Star Trek" in the title and a revised (worse) intro song. [Sarcasm] Now there's some stuff to make a real difference! [/sarcasm] Since they don't seem to have an open ear and they are ultimately in control, I'm pretty pessimistic about the possibility of us being able to do anything. |

With the up beat type song I feel like going yee haa everytime you see the ship go to warp. It sounds like the Dukes of Hazard. I think Enterprise has pretental, after seeing North Star I feel that was sort of type of show Star Trek needs. One that was like Carbon Creek, and other episodes simular but tell a story. B&B are only insterested in getting teens that get horny everytime T'Pol is wearing that tight catsuit. I feel B&B rushed it, during season seven of Voyager. They should've taken at least three years to develop a storyline, create characters that fit into the pre-Kirk era, a ship that is less advanced. What is damaging Enterprise is the lack of repect and keeping the ideas of Gene Roddenberry. Gene would've had fun but not turning Star Trek into a peep show, if I wanted to see Vulcans in tight catsuits then all I need to go to is to a porn site. Berman is okay on his own but once he hired Braga things turned to sleeze, when he became head writer and Bermans next incommand. I don't like Braga, I can bearly tolerate Berman. I also feel Jeri Ryan was hired because Braga got horny when he saw her the same with Jolene Brook. |

What new song! I'm only on season two so I haven't heard it. How can the intro possibly be worse! I thought that was an impossibility! |

I'm Captain Kirk!

The opening song is horrible. Why can't it be more like the rest of the shows? I'm still getting used to seeing a "hot" vulcan. |

Enterprise should have been about the forming of the federation, the series can be saved if it turns around in season 4 to that story arc. Otherwise I am being to believe the franchise needs a break of a couple of years for folks to crave it once again. |

How about a Voyager Movie
|
Possibly the decision to go PRE-Kirk was not a good one since the style more closely fits the most recent (Voyager) style. The shark has not only been jumped, it has been beheaded and disembowled! The Vulcan character has had more episodes with loss of control than are reasonable, Pon-Far, Virus, drugged, interrogated, hell good thing Jolene has such a great range, she is more used than anyone on the ship. Archer is CONSTANTLY getting his ass kicked, kidnapped, held hostage, locked up, tied up, and so on. Come on now, stop kicking his ass every other episode! Finally the time travel. Nonsense that has taken off like the perverbial horse that is out of the barn. I liked Similitude because it had a real life dilemma built into the story, like the type of sessions you would have in debate in college. Trek has always traditionally brought those ethical and moral debates into their plots, as well as issues that we face today. 'Chosen Realm' touched on suicide bombers and religious zealots. What can we do to save Enterprise? Keep watching and enjoy the Trek. It is still Trek, and I am viewing it as separate from TOS all togethor.

I don't think it is morose enough to be country. *** To Data's Cat's Sister, It is the same song, they just sped up the beat. Which made the song even worse IMO. Admittedly, I already disliked the song to begin with. I wish an accompaniment had been written that was unique (to reflect Enterprise, early exploration), but still had a few hints of the TOS, TNG theme songs to create a sense of continuity with the other series. |

Another important omission from Enterprise is the character-struggling-with-their-existence-that-we-all-endear-to. Tng had Data DS9 had Odo Voy had Doctor/Seven These characters rank as some of our favourites in each series. But there is no comparison in Ent |

You are right. I had not thought of that. Perhaps they will realize it and write it in next season? T'Pol is so over used and does not provide the struggle within at all.

This thread got me thinking, but I answered the other two threads (review and the spoiler thread) first. What can fans do? NOT WATCH THE SHOW! Maybe if ratings fall drastically (I mean more than they are now) one of two things will happen: 1) UPN will cancel the show and Berman and Braga might go somewhere else... like a remake of Petticoat Junction. 2) We might get better written episodes. Paramount obviously IS NOT listening to fan complaints. After all, there was a was a TV Guide contest on how to "save" Enterprise. Funny, I don't remember the fans saying, "Dude, more T&A scenes!" SO, I think we'll see the former. Cancellation. My dog could write better material (even though there is that problem with paws on the keyboard). |

Not mine. I thought they were ALL plot gimmicks. I liked strong characters. |

But do any of us fans have those little boxes for sending in ratings? If not then what does it even matter towards ratings if we watch it or not? |
