Well, here we go again with the next new episode. I have to admit that the show seems to be improving as the season goes on. How will tonight's episode go? Will we see Mayweather at all? Will this be as heartwRenching as last week? (sorry about the wRench - I couldn't resist! :P )

Well, we will catch ya all here later!!

OH NO! Another star trek/western episode.

I’m getting to the point where I believe the writing staff over at paramount every so often (perhaps when they cant come up with a good idea - and boy does that happen allot on enterprise) chose episode ideas out of a hat, and when they are done they put all the idea back into the hat for next times choosing.

Ideas that are in the hat.

1) A borg episode

2) A western episode

3) A hollodeck episode (boy am I waiting for one of these on enterprise)

4) A Borg episode (isn’t that in the hat already - Rick try to be creative)

5) An episode where one of the female character looses a peace of her clothing for some reason or other - will fill in the rest later.

6) The Vulcan has to deal with losing control over its emotions (preferably losing its clothing in the process if its a female Vulcan)

7) A Temporal episode where Daniels sends the crew through time to see what the Xindi-Reptilians are doing in Detroit, Michigan, in 2004.

any one else have any more ideas?

Gee Dano, you're sounding a bit jaded and cynical. That's so unlike where Enterprise is concerned... ;)

Hey Dan, this is a review thread. Maybe you should watch the episode before you pass judgement.

You are right - I'm sorry I will reframe passing judgment until I see the episode

Well folks, I really don’t have much to say about this episode. On the one hand it wasn’t a bad episode and on the other, it didn’t really add anything to the Xindi arc.

I suppose you can’t go too wrong with this type of story…modern twist on a classic western tale...

Bad guys in old western town terrorize and enforce their own warped brand of law. To the rescue is good-looking outsiders who in cooperation with pretty female and the sole legitimate lawman battle against the bullies…and everyone lives happily ever after. :D

At least Archer revealed himself to Sheriff MacReady. Usually when the space invaders visit, they go to the very end of the show without revealing their true identity to all. :ph43r:

Side note:

OMG, there was actually a Travis Mayweather sighting on tonight’s episode. :o

And my favorite funny line of the evening:

Deputy Bennings: “Drop that…whatever it is!”

Overall, I give this episode :) :) ;) out of 5 :)

P.S. What the snikies? Saw next week's preview...they better not be killing Trip off!!! Especially when Mayweather is already the unofficial sacrificial lamb. :P

I thought Reed was very imaginative, coming up with that solution. Thank goodness for stun settings! :P

My thoughts on the show were - yeah! No talk of Xindi tonight. Other then that a run of the mill episode. Interesting, but not spectacular.

:) :) ;) out of 5 :)

It was alright for a filler episode. An ok television Western and a fair Starfleet officers in "Earth's past"-type episode. It seemed like a slightly reworked script left over from an earlier season, though.

My favorite bit in the show was at the end when the sheriff raised his hand when the school marm asked who wanted to see the Wright brothers plane.

There were a few unanswered questions-How did Enterprise find the planet? Do the Xindi know of them? If the Skagarans were operating around Earth in the 1860s are they in the Vulcan database?

Still I give it :) :) :) out of 5.

I'll take Spectre of a Gun or even a Fistful of Data's over the dreadful writing on Enterprise anyday.

The sets looked nice at least.

I liked it. It was just a "filler" episode, but wasn't bad.

CONS:

*The more I see the MACO's, the more I wonder why they are there. They don't seem to be too effective.

*If things go badly for Enterprise in the Expanse, those people may be waiting a LONG time for someone to come and get them.

*They found a way to get even the schoolmarm in minimal clothing.

POSITIVES:

*Archer as a cowboy.

*The schoolmarm was a pretty feisty woman. I liked her.

*The "Cooper Smith" reference - Cooper Smith was the name of one of the hands on the old Wagon Train series.

*The Reed scenes that were already mentioned.

So this episode would be a real "Wagon Train to the stars" ;)
