Well for starters the disc 6 in a paper sleave is only a 'bonus featurette'. It is 16 min long inside look at ST the Experience in Vegas. It makes me excited to go there someday, it looks like lots of fun!

There are five DVDS, the special features are on # 5 and I watched most of them last night. Finally some answers regarding the (oops) casting of the first Janeway, Genevieve Bujold. Uugghhhh, the suits were really gripping after that nursing home performance. There was no inflection in her performance. You get to see many of the same scenes with her as Janeway. I recommend you watch the first episode right out of the box before you hit the special features to see the difference in the two Janeways. I have not seen the pilot since wrapping the finale and it is amazing to see how dead on the actors portray those characters from day one! :hail: I remember with TNG and DS9 it took a full season to get into their roles.
-_-

Kate Mulgrew looks in her interview like she's starting to go Carrie Fisher on me. She better let someone else do her makeup when she rolls out of the rack for an interview!

The packaging seems to be made as slim as possible, and was clearly very inexpensive to produce. I offer you a challenge, if you take the 4 major pieces apart, you may not be certain how to put them back togethor properly.

Additionaly the episodes listed suffer from the very gay contrast of Orange with white lettering fading to black. This makes some of the printing aggravating to read.

The DVD quality of the episode delivers as it should, AWESOME quality there.
Paramount should FIRE the design team for this product and give the profits to his boss who will get credit for the high gross on this $110.00 set! ;)
A must have for anyone who even thinks they like voyager, I will now enjoy it fresh after all these months!

Actually at least you guy are getting it in Orange we are getting it in red  I even saw a picture of the first Janeway ugh! looks like an old bat, that is very depressing. They even showed a few screen shots of the TOS features, on this box set. I must say I look forward to that more tan Voyager. I have to wait until May before I get to see this.

I am looking forward to both TOS and VOY. :)

I too am looking foward to Star Trek in Season sets. I'd love to see such episodes like Court Martial, and Doomsday Machine because I've never seen them before. Hopefully if paramount does release Star Trek, they can add TAS into that series sets as well.

Wow! With all of your DS9 knowledge and with the episodes you've seen, it never occurred to me that you might not have seen all of TOS. Do you mean you have never seen those episodes on DVD, or never at all period?

I also have not seen all eps of TOS.

TNG to ENT season2 I have watched a gazillion times.

I dont have cable, the Video stores only had the top twenty.

So about 20% I havent seen.

Another 50%, I've only seen once.

The rest like Amok Time, Tommorrow is yestreday, Corbonite Manuevre and Mirror, Mirror I have seen a gazillion times.

But there are some I am itching for.

Like Wink of an eye, I want to see how that compares to Voyagers Blink of an eye ( my fav ).

From the sixties you can get Lost in Space, Doctor Who, Outer limits box sets, but you cant get the most famous - Star Trek

CP,

Wink of an Eye is a decent episode, with some interesting camera tricks. :)

BTW, I would recommend you (and anyone else) stay away from the Outer Limits double-sided boxed set. I didn't, and (only with luck) thankfully I was able to get my money back. The pressings are horrible, and the effort, cheap.... ;(

Fesarius,

I have seen some of Star Trek, such as City on the Edge of Forever, Devil in the Dark (Probably the best episode I've seen) That which survives, Shore Leave, Trouble with Tribbles, Menajerie/The Cage, and some others. I just can't wait to see them all in their original episodes because Sci-Fi edits them a lot.

Gdog,

Devil In The Dark is a first-rate episode--great writing. I've been fascinated with the title for a long time. For example, just who is the 'devil' in this episode? BTW, this is the episode where Shatner (during filming) finds out that his father has passed away.

Well, literally, it could be the Horta, but I always assumed it was the people in those minds. The Horta was just trying to survive on thier silicon, (If i remember the episode correctly) almost the same way the Vidiians were trying to survive by stealing organs.

Exactly! I do think it was the miners. I love Vanderberg (Hal Lynch) in this episode. He's one of those unforgettable character actors that appeared in many series over the years.

Back on topic: Do you own any of VOY on DVD yet?
