When will we see the Xindi-Aquatics

There are supposed to be 5 races of Xindi, but during this season we have only seen 4, or 3 if you just think that the important members were the Insectizoids, reptilian, and humaniods. My question is, when are we going to see the Xindi-Aquatic and actually make this a significant part of the episode. It seems like the Reptilians/insectizoids are the ones who are trying to move foward on the weapon to attack earth, where do the Aquatics stand?

Gdog,

The aquatics don't stand. LOL! ;)

There was a tidbit on the aquatics (TrekBBS - News bullets, I think) about a week or so ago. They are supposed to be seen more in an upcoming episode of ENT.

I thought we have seen them... in the conferences in the Xindi meeting room?

By the way, two fish are swimming in a tank. One says to the other, "Hey, you know how to drive this thing?"

Yes, we've seen them two or three times. I think Gdog was hoping for more substantive use (or screen time) for them in the future. I think this is going to occur, if I can believe what the News Bullet info. has said in recent days.

Yes, we have seen them, but I am hoping they are actually featured in an episode.

Fasarius, yes I know the aquatics don't stand, but I think you understood my question? They are on the council, but what are they like away from that council. How are they (Being a race of Xindi) important to this storyline, and what if the writers actally made it so the Aquatics were against the whole weapon thing in the first place. We know very little about them much less than the others.

Gdog,

Yes, I understood. I thought it was a good punchline. ;)

I looked at TrekBBS to see if I could find that info. I thought it might have had to do with E2. I'll post it (or the link) if I find it.

I think B&B missed out on a perfect opportunity to make this Xindi arc more believable or just plain more interesting by not further developing the Xindi. As others have already mentioned, we really have only seen the Humanoid, Reptilian, Insectoid and to an extent the Sloth. Unfortunately, the exposure of those 4 haven’t been all that significant either.

Now the Aquatic Xindi is an odd, but potentially interesting, fifth to add to the group. Don’t worry I am not going to go off on my usual tangent about how these 5 species all seem to be able to strangely communicate with each other without the obvious use of a universal translator or some other communication aid. But really there is probably a story there somewhere that is just ripe for the telling. :P

But I agree with you gdog, where do the Aquatic Xindi stand? What role do they play? Maybe they are the actual masterminds?

I get the feeling more is going to be revealed about the Xindi, but it is going to take place almost at the end of the season. Too late in my opinion…and a waste of a potential wealth of story-telling.

I think a big problem with featuring the aquatics in an episode is the fact that they live underwater. Unless they plan on having the crew in some sort of scuba gear for an entire episode I just don't see it working.

As for the language issue, I think that at some point in the past there were 5 different languages, and as the species interacted more it evolved into a single lamguage. In the council scenes the sloth, humanoid and reptilian all speek one language. The aquatics and reptilians don't have the ability so have maintained their own separate sub languages, but still understand the main language.
