Well, I've mulled it over for a couple of days now, and I'm still trying to think of something I actually liked about this episode ...... maybe it was that Hoshi got off a good throw during the hand-to-hand training exercises. Frankly, what they're doing with T'Pol lately is really ticking me off. Researching and experimenting with Human sexuality, my foot! If, as the morning-after discussion seems to indicate, she now wants to pretend it never happened, then that was downright disrespectful toward Trip. If Enterprise ends up getting cancelled, this episode will be one of the shining examples of why. |

Once again it's time for Swidden's "Better Late Than Not At All" review... This alien guy seemed a bit like the cheese on the mouse trap. Suliban? Could be. TCW connection? I think it's likely. The Reed/Hayes bout- Glad that's finally over with (not that they did a lot to lead up to it this season) Trip and Cpl Cole: In the conversation about it between T'Pol and Trip, she points out that it is inappropriate for Trip to fraternize with a subordinate. Trip points out that she's not Starfleet, so no harm, no foul. Indicating, to me, that Starfleet's designation is a bit tenuous yet and not formally linked to any Terran military function. Still, probably not a wise course of action for a senior officer to follow. Trip and T'Pol: Oh yeah, no question about what happened after her robe dropped. Now she's backing off with the very flimsy excuse that she was just experimenting? Cop out! Still, Trip's willing to keep up with the massages? No ulterior motives there.
I don't recall if it has been brought up before, I know one non-canon theory for Vulcans being rather stand-offish has to do with their being touch-telepaths. Physical contact, especially with people with untrained minds (humans), is a bit hard on them... No questions really answered, but we can bet that someone is orchestrating all of this for some yet to be determined reason. TCW? Probably, but I wish that they would give us an idea soon (Hmmm, could this be the strategy of this season? Is it actually working?) I am still not counting on a BRCRB end to this season, or even the series. I am still inclined to believe that this will somehow all end up being incorporated into Trek history... |

Agreed. Discretion is warranted, I believe. Better yet, it should not be happening at all.
I do believe we are the only two people who believe that this will occur. I'm not giving up hope. |

I don't believe there will be a Reset Button, and I hope they find a way to integrate this story to the rest of Star Trek. I just hope they end it soon, because this story did have potential, but it just isn't believeable. The Xindi aren't much of a threat, we don't know who or what they are, except for Degra but that is just barely, and this whole Xindi believing Humanity is a threat for no reason other than to show kewl explosians is a joke. If they wanted to do an Arc this season, it should have been something they already established, like the Andorian conflict, or bringing back the "Detained" suliban and the Tendarins, like Archer's love interest in "Two Days Two Nights." |

^^^ Yeah, the Tandarins continuing would be good. I'd still love to see more on the Horizon--or the Malurians. There is *so much* they could do that would eventually tie in with TOS. Perhaps this will still occur in Seasons 4-7.

Something else I forgot to add. Would it be cool if we found out that the Xindi was "The Silent Enemy." Remember, in the episode there was a race who was trying to destroy Enterprise but we found out nothing about them. What if they were the Xindi insectizoids or something. I've always wanted to see the Silent Enemy come back. |

^^^ Cool! I would love to see that as well. (BTW, isn't that the 'phase cannon' episode--the one where those are introduced?) |

I think so. Was that the episode where they used a Moon as a weapon? |

How about a Voyager Movie

Wow. I enjoyed this episode. I bet you could REALLY destroy our Project SOUL thread! Just remember, we get paid a bit less than B&B do! |
