Well, here we go again. Another new episode. Will the Andorians save the day. Or will they cause more trouble and destruction. Tune in and find out.

See you all here after the show!

Hey, why did they have a "last time on enterprise" at the being of tonight’s episode. It wasn’t even last time it was a recap of the hole third season. I hope this means something good is going to happen tonight.

Ah, heck…I got totally side-tracked and only caught a little bit of tonight’s show. What I did see was interesting though. :)

I really like the Andorians. I thought I would have a hard time getting used to Jeffery Combs in the role of Shran (instead of Weyoun on DS9), but he is turning out to be good in this role as well.

I am looking forward to seeing this episode when it is aired again this weekend! :alien:

Apparently we look like this now
The female Andorian was "Ensign Baird" wasnt she?

And no preview for next week? :realmad:

I missed last weeks episode. Hopefully there will be another new one next week.

I thought that was a really good episode.

Well, I would have to say that I was disappointed with this episode. Not because I didn’t like it, because I did. I was disappointed because I thought something substantial was going to happen tonight (the reason for the “last time on enterprise”) but then it was just another episode. How do they expect to get better ratings if they don’t write great episodes once in awhile.

As far as the episode goes I would have to say I like it. The interaction between archer and shran was good, and I want to see more human/Andorran/Vulcan relation ship episodes. I want to see the prequel to the other star treks, and this type of episodes fits into that. Other than that this episode did not add much to the Xindi story and then third season. It was just another episode when it had the potential to be much more.

What’s wrong with the Xindi tonight? The last time enterprise ran into the Xindi ships they where luck they got way alive. But tonight enterprise made short work of them. Don’t the writers remember what they wrote only a few months ago?

I would like to see more of the Xindi, We don’t really know much about them, other then the fact that they are five different types. This episode could have added some new information, about them, and about how they are being manipulated by the TCW. Another reason I was disappointed.

All and all the episode was ok as far as star trek episodes go, but I was disappointed that they didn’t hit that mark they could have. Enterprise needs a great episode one that people will talk about long after the show is done. All the other treks have them, enterprise needs at lest one (maybe we need a two parter).

Another thing, since there hasn’t been much interaction with the Xindi, how are they going to end the story arch? I believe if they keep going the way they are, its going to be anticlimactic.

This story arc has just bored the crapola out of me.

It was nice to see the Andorians, but I was really hoping to see some spirit of cooperation there... leading to what eventually would be the founding of the Federation.

But no, this episode was predictable and formulaic.

Like Dante, I did notice the "last week on Enterprise" encompassing the entire third season (in little two second bursts only an MTV watcher would enjoy).

Predictable variables:

Offer of help, but secret hidden agenda
Possibility of "social interaction" between two crews.
Inferior human technology or biology derided
Grudging admiration from one of alien crew
Betrayal by alien(s)
T'pol finds something out to save the day, or at least save face.

How many times have we seen this episode? Just like last week's latest "ship gets hijacked" episode, they've run out of things.

EITHER MEND IT OR END IT.

I give this only 1 :) out of a possible 5 :) :) :) :) :)

How could this episode have been worse? Another massage scene! Oh, did anyone notice the so-called tension between T'Pol and Tucker? Who wants to bet that this leads to another "fanboy" episode!

God I feel bad for Jeffery Combs.

He made his career in Trek, doing some of the best episodes in the history of the franchise and now hes stuck trying to flesh something out of the horrible dreck that passes for a script on Enterprise.

I had hope for the episode with the initial scene between Archer, Shran and T'Pol. Shran's right - why aren't the Vulcans helping Earth if they are such friends? It was a nice start.

I didn't even mind the "forced" interaction between the two crews because I liked the Andorian female and her attitude. When Archer demanded to be in command of Shran's ship, it was just ridiculous, however. Even I wondered about technology issues in that whole section of the episode. (Wouldn't the build-up of radiation in the hold with the activation of the weapon be deadly enough without having to actually ignite it?)

Did anybody notice T'Pol changed uniforms almost with every scene?

Did anybody notice Merryweather and Hoshi? (I didn't either. There's a crew chief on Stargate that I know more about than the two of them put together.)

Ditto to what everyone else has said with a few minor clarifications.

I think they said "previously on Enterprise" as opposed to "last week on Enterprise". The difference is this gave them an excuse to fill 2 minutes of air time with clips from previous episodes, just in case the audience is too stupid to remember what has been going on all season.

Also, Wichita, I don't remember seeing Hoshi, but there were a couple of shots of Mayweather flying through the anomolies (with T'pol navigating for him) And he got to say "Yes sir!"

As for T'pol rebuilding 30% of thier database - I wonder if I could get my husband aboard that ship. He could recover the entire thing. And all the time he would be screaming at them that they should always make backups!

Regarding Shran, it was immediately obvious that he was after the weapon. I like that he was conflicted about it - shows that he does have potential to be the catalyst for helping build the federation. I also like that he sent them the plans secretly (at least I assume it was him - it also could have been the female Andorian as she did come around to liking Reed)

I give it :) :) out of 5 :) Ok, but nothing to write home about.

Personal Repetitive Rant follows:

Andorian ears are their antennae. That's why they had the hairstyles they did back on TOS and you didn't see any ears on the sides of their head friggin' blue heads! :realmad:

^^ Andorian antennae being ears was always speculation. It seems more like a matter of hairstyle.

I liked this episode. I liked the return of the Andorians. I liked the recap at the beginning pointing out all the information that had been planted throughout the season advancing the story. Precisely, to show that arc advancement doesn't require 99% of every episode of every story.

I have little problem with the lost database. We haven't been told what D'Jammat really did to it.

I did notice Mayweather getting more to say in this episode than in the entire preceding season and T'Pol's wardrobe changes.

:) :) :) out of 5 :)

It was deleted. There is a short shot of the screen and it says in the upper left corner: Volume Deleted.

Archer didn't seem too worried about it though did he?

Actually for some stupid reason I seem to remember hearing / reading / noticing somewhere that the antennae are actually light sensitive and act as visual, not auditory, enhancements.

Of course I can't remember where I learned this so I may have it mixed up with some other sci-fi series... or something... I dunno... just a thought.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... now that would have been something to watch... see thats just stupid writing on behalf of the production staff. Sure in this day and age we "primitive humans" know to make back-ups of data. So Archer and his crew - which are 150 years removed from us - didn't???

Was someone asleep when they wrote that? LOL...

I think your husband should proceed to beat Archer as well as screaming at him... Lord knows I would!

Dumb, dumb, dumb... just shows how low the production staff considers the fans.

I have to say that I quit watching this show at the beginning of this season because I thought this whole Expanse/Xindi thing was nonsensical and a desperate attempt to rope in new (and old) viewers. Instead of an actual long term strategy/plot we say in DS9 which I am sure they modeled this "bold new direction" after, we get the crew aimlessly wandering the expanse looking for a species who is actually several and a some new weapon they don't actually recognize (which makes it pretty hard to find I would think). Anyway, I gave it another chance last night as I love the Andorians and Jeffrey Combs but was again disappointed. What is the deal? If you can't write an interesting story about a legacy that goes back over 35 years there's something wrong. How is it there is so much fan fiction if this is that hard to write for? What there needs to be here, is a plan. Since this is a prequel, they should know where they want to end up before they air the show. That's what made DS9 so good is that it actually had a story to tell with a beginning, middle and end. Shows about a ship randomly wandering the cosmos may have worked the first three times you did it, (TOS, TNG and Voyager) but it's not going to work anymore. Think of an actual long term story you want to tell and follow it. Sheesh!
