There are very few Bush speeches that I can say that I really enjoyed. One of them was the speech he gave at the 20th Anniversary of The National Endowment For Democracy on Freedom in Iraq and the Middle East. :)

I'm happy to see that this sign is so small that people driving by won't be able to read it... :P ;)

I have not seen much comment on this speech of President Bush. Seems to me it was quite a ground breaker, one of the major turning points in US foreign policy in recent decades.

For such an important speech, it doesn't get much time on this board.

I think you would be surprised (then again maybe not) at how little coverage there was of the speech. What did get coverage by our enlightened media? The protests of Bush's presence in England. The only high point of that coverage was hearing the reporters/anchors comment after the fact that the protesters represent the minority view point...

its "we are".

my original comment still stands - is it just perhaps, that for President Bush to admit it a few home truths is a bit much to take for some of you ?

I just thought of the amusing quote Odo uses in the pilot of DS9, talking about Sisko...."you know, I didn't think I was going to like that man (Bush)...." :)
