Gdog, Antodav seemed quite distraught about it on CaptainPaul's Board. He actually had Ensign Cutler worked into a couple of his stories. He also mentioned that her name (beyond the three episodes she was in) was mentioned recently in an episode of ENT. I didn't know that. |

I wanted to post this yesterday, but I wanted to get a better confirmation on this story other than the trekbbs. Admiral, You talk about young actors dying, well theres another one. If anyone here was a Seaquest DSV fan (I know I was) Jonathan Brandis (Lucus) passed away last week at 27. I don't know if it was suicide or something else, but this is a really sad week. It's an absolute shame... My sister-in-law passed away back in August at 37...it just doesn't seem right when people die so young.

Starbase, Agreed. It's even stranger, I think, when a parent outlives their children. It's happened in my family (grandparents and their children) twice. |

WHAT!? I remember Jonathan Brandis! He passed away at the age of 27? WOW! Does anyone know what HE died of? Last thing I saw him in was a Christmas Special where he, I think, played good King Wenseslaus (don't know the spelling). Another terrible shame. Julia |

They were saying it was Suicide. And because this thread is full of bad news, I found out that composer Michael Kamen (From the Earth to the Moon, X-men, Metallica's S&M album, die hard) has also passed away. These are really not good weeks for great people.

Nope she didn't die like that. She was murdered 1998, Kellie isn't the first to die when a show is in production, in Star Trek. Does anyone remember Worfs mom who lived in Russia? she died in early 1993, when season 6 of The Next Generation was on air. |

Kamen also worked with Eric Clapton, I believe he also did the music for "The Three Musketeers." Wow, here it is what, five days later, and msn news and E! Network are just catching up with the fact that Kellie Waymire passed away... Testament to the power of the Trek communications network...

I just doubled checked, it was a heart attack, my mistake. I heard she was murdered. August 18, 1998. |

I'm glad that that (P.K.) is cleared up. I didn't want to post that I too heard it was a heart condition.
Gdog, You know, From the Earth to the Moon (1958) isn't discussed all that often. I recall seeing this film as a child, and loving every minute of it. It's still a favorite of mine (if we're talking about the version with Joseph Cotton). Wonderful flick.

There was an article on Kelli Waymire in today's paper - turns out she was a native of Columbus, Ohio. They are still going with an undetected medical problem, but the autopsy is not yet complete. |
