I think the Administration has done a good job with the information available to them. I think, also, that some of that information may have been a bit more inaccurate than any of us would have liked.

So far, no one is saying that there is a driect link between Al-Qaeda and Sept. 11. What is being said is that the Hussein regime provided some degree of support to them and/or other terrorist groups.

superb !

PS : did you know the Pentagon has just released a prevously un-released release, showing that Saddam Hussein himself gave flying lessons to the 9/11 terrorists !

More seriously, the CIA and MI6 have always said there has been some contact between Iraq and al-quaida over the years (for god's sake, there's probably been CIA contact with almost every organisation on the planet), the Iraq/al-quaida contacts were simply not very significant.

Funny how this is now changing.

Read this:

http://www.nypost.com/news/worldnews/42706.htm

It details some fascinating links between Iraq and al Queda. A memo, dated October 27, 2003, was from the Department of Defense to members of the Senate Intelligence Committee. It seems that Saddam and Osama had been in cahoots since 1990. As I said before, "Fascinating!"

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/EK07Ak03.html

the memo was written by poor old Douglas Feith !!

This is the man who was interviewed by a UK journalist a few months ago and who couldn't even answer the questions himself !

After his floundering around became too much to bear for his "minder" sitting just out of camera, the minder steps in during filming and stops the interview !

That doesn't give you much confidence in one of the prime architects of the invasion does it ?

so suprise surprise Doug is trying to hold onto his job it seems.

Did you ever THINK that just maybe there were certain things he COULD NOT SAY? Ever hear of "national security" before?

Probably not, considering all you want to do is make us look bad.

By the way, I read your link. Nice "hit piece" on Feith. Why didn't you just copy something from "The Nation" or the "Worker's World" online?

Go peddle your swill somewhere else!

Admiralbill,
It's an interesting article and thanks for posting it. I'll keep it in mind as new information continues to unfold. For now, since I trust just about nothing from this administration, I remain skeptical however. After all, I've heard nothing objective, just a report from another member of Bush's administration. I understand that they may not be able to disclose the objective evidence at this point so I'll stay open-minded as well.

IE, we can't forget abot the already established link of Salman Pak.

(For those who either don't know, or have forgotten, Salman Pak is an Iraqi airbase near Baghdad where the 9/11 hijackers learned how to commandeer an aircraft using minimal weapons such as box cutters and razor blades.
