Well, it's beginning to look like I'm in the minority with regard to ENT. Out of curiosity, does anyone else like anything about the series? What are the positives? [Please move this to ENT if you wish.] |

No Fesarius, I don't think we're a minority, just not as vocal... Something to complain about...? That's part of the attitude that some of us who like Enterprise despite its warts were talking about in the thread about the STFA. What gets me are the amount of people who seem to watch Enterprise just to find the negatives about it and harp on them. I'm not sure if that's actually including you, Julia, but why make it a point to complain about the little things when complaining might cause you to miss a good thing? So many people were on the boat of "Twilight was another history-reset story" that they missed the possibility that I picked up on that the episode was actually a "Wizard of Oz" curveball being thrown our way. Maybe the whole thing happened in Archer's mind... I've found various tips and tributes to TOS along the way (I'm sure bonja and Fesarius have noticed them too)...the show IS trying...take a breath and watch the episodes with an open mind instead of "Well, it's not good Trek, so there must be something wrong here somewhere..." This thread is the place to say nice things about Enterprise, the Series. It is "OK" to say things like, "I liked Archer as captain in Cease Fire" - while it may imply to others that you didn't like him as captain in other episodes, we are simply going to focus on the fact you liked him as captain in Cease Fire. So warm up the little guys and say something nice.....:wave: |

I liked Archer’s chest when he ran onto the bridge half-naked during the Twilight episode!
P.S. I’ll be back later to say something more constructive when I get my mind out of the gutter.
Edit: Ok, I am back...I really really like it when they show Trip's bare chest. Yeah, yeah...still not out of the gutter.

I think Enterprise is good, but I feel they could've done better with the designs of the sets and colors. STFA, is a bunch of people who want another Voyger IMOP. They want everything to be back in 1991, it can't many have moved on. Star Trek fans got devided after TNG eneded. As long as there is someone who stays loyal to the show even though they think its bad, that makes a real fan. A reral fan doesn't worry about ratings or go and find stupid things. I found an error in All Good Things, but I see see it as canon as is Voyager I am not a big fan of it its still canon. Enterprise will preval, no matter what they say or try to do. The real fans will speak up in the end not the untrue fans who just stick to the one show. Many also beileve Star Trek ened in 1994. |

Things I like about Enterprise? I like the look of the series. The ship design and the uniforms. I might be in the minority on this, but I do like the way Phlox is portrayed (if you one want's to get into problems with character... Start another thread!
). I think Billingsley has the guy dialed in pretty well.I also remain hopeful that it will come full circle before it comes to an end and give us some decent history on which the Federation will eventually be founded. Oh, and I'll add my vote of appreciation to 24's new avatar. Getting a little risque, are we? How long will it be around? |

Starbase63, Yeah, those are the things that really move me in ENT. Rose, 24thcenstfan, and Minuet, LOL. Too bad guys (at other Boards) couldn't be as tasteful as that when describing women. Swidden, LOL! Yeah, that's quite a risque avatar. Agreed with regard to Phlox as well. I think he's the best-written character thus far, although I wish TPTB would give Hoshi more to work with--she might surprise many.

I liked the way Phlox's character was portrayed during the first two seasons. Yes, his actions were controversial, but they sparked a lot of discussion which is always a good thing IMO. |

Rose, Agreed. One of the interesting aspects of a medical officer (or in Phlox's case, medical personnel?) is that he is the only person that can give Archer an 'order.' (Okay, I realize that Phlox isn't in SFA, but he has alluded to this privilege in ENT thus far.) This often makes for an intriguing tension.

24thcenstfan, Hmmm, a wrench. We might have some serious 'subliminal Leo' going on here.

LOL! You might just be right. Leo was a handyman when he first came on the show. Although he has gotten a lot better looking over the years.

OK I'll be one of the few in this thread that is actually going to talk about Enterprise. 1 Any parts with Ensign Sato in them
2. Any Eps where they actually visit another planet 3. I like the TCW thing OK! 4. CGI does look more modern 5. Would like to see more of what happens at starfleet 6 Would like to see more federation creation stories 7 Dont really like Archer so far - and Reeds a little creepy 8 would have worked better if Blalock hadnt played a Vulcan 9 They are good actors and most have created good characters 10 There have been some damn fine eps, and lots of trek style story lines...Judgement,Cogenitor,Dear Doctor, the Breach etc |
