I just wanted to remind everyone that today is Veteran's Day. Today is the day that we honor all veterans. I'll be heading to downtown in a few minutes to watch the parade. The parade starts in Hermann Square and ends in Sam Houston Park.

Remember to thank a veteran today!

There has been a parade conducted locally here for some years now. If an appointment I am trying to arrange doesn't work out, then that's where I'll be later today.

Veterans are to be commended for their service.

In Canada we call this day Rememberance Day.

My sister is playing with the Toronto Army Regiment Band at services today (she plays the Clarinet). And my daughter is singing with her school choir at services at her school.

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
Doh, I thought that it was veteranarians day. I already sent the flowers to my dog's doctor, it is too late to cancel.

Oh well.

Being a child of a veteran, I appreciate the hardships and sacrifices veterans make for our country. My father was in the army during the Korean War.

I as well. My father was in Korea, and my uncle served in Vietnam. My father returned, while my uncle did not. I appreciate my freedom because of what they and others did (and are doing). I currently have a brother-in-law in Baghdad (a major in the Army); I think he will return, although one never knows.

Speak softly, and carry a 57 megaton stick!
Well, in my family, my grandfather was in the Army Air Corps, later to become the Air Force. Other then that, there were no veterens in my immediate family. Hopefully I'll be the next veteran in line.

Do you think people will go to a doctor who is also a vet at the same time?

Doc, as long as the "vet" you speak of isn't a veterinarian, you're fine! :D
