The 37's were closer to the Borg than Earth is. Of course if I follow that line of thinking I'd have to ask why isn't the whole Delta Quadrant Borgified. As for Travolta, if we lost him we'd have been deprived of his virtuoso perfomances as Vinnie Barbarino...not to mention Battlefield:Earth. I guess there's never an alien abductor around when you need one.

When the Voyager was in the area of space near the caretaker, there was no Borg assimilated worlds to worry about. They just hadn't made it over that far yet. THe Borg did have knowledge of that space though, so they had at least sent long range probes. Perhaps the Borg focused on expanding in a different direction. |

Thats a point actually, I didnt enjoy seeing his hairy gut in that movie. Who would've been better, A comedian like bill murray or someone or a smoothy like George Clooney |
