I have to say I agree about Mayweather. I don't understand it. If he's a bad actor, why did they hire him? If he's good, why not use him more? It's 2 1/4 seasons into the series and I still can't tell if he's good, bad, or somewhere in between since he's had almost no screen time. It's ridiculous. |

Agreed. They have so ignored that character, I don't see how they could salvage it at this point. |

If a future episode has Archer visit Ceti Alpha V and look at it with familiarity would that remove your objections? People in Trek are always remembering details from altered time lines. Kirk remebered reports of Edith's death. Archer recalls details of the destroyed Earth in Shockwave. It happened in several Voyager episodes if I recall correctly. So what Guinan did wasn't that special. Nothing there said "Not a reset." |

T'Pol as live-in caretaker... Inexplicable Death Star-like Xindi weapons... T'Pol wearing a Starfleet uniform and becoming Captain of the Enterprise... Soval still begging T'Pol to come back to Vulcan... Archer's parasite-induced memory losses... Everyone else being shot dead while Archer lives long enough to save the day... A few thousand surviving humans taking up residence on Ceti Alpha V... A "Reset Button"??? As I brought up at st.com...didn't it occur to anyone that the whole episode may just have happened in Archer's mind while he was unconcious, and never happened in "reality" at all?? Hmmmmm? B) |

No, I am afraid it didn't. However, that is certainly an interesting take on what happened...or should I say what didn't happened. :ph43r: I am going to tape tonight's repeat and watch it again tomorrow. I am always able to pick up more on the second viewing. Thanks for mentioning that possible scenario! It definitely shines a different light on the episode. --24

All that was missing was hearing Archer say with his dying breath, "There's no place like home, there's no place like home..." B) |

As I mentioned in an early post on this topic, I will be watching the episode over the weekend. Now, I am going to be looking for more new Xindi races- specifically those that resemble munchkins and flying monkeys. How long before we hear: I'll get you Jonathan Archer, and your little Denobulan too! |

Could it be that the Wicked Witch's guards were actually Xindi instead of Winkies? Was the poppy field the first attempt at a Xindi bio-weapon? Was the Tin Man actually built by Noonian Soong? Was the Wizard really a Romulan spy? I can't wait until 9 so I can see the episode again before I get completely out of hand... B) |

Okay, finally got to watch Twilight. I agree with most folks here that this was one of the better episodes of this season. Star Trek is not alone in doing stories where somehow someone from the future reshapes the past in a effort to achieve a better outcome. Best thing about this episode: T'Pol in uniform the way she should be. Too bad the "reset" is so complete. Maybe Archer will sort of half way remember this and suggest that she be granted some kind of commission to make her a full-fledge officer (talk about provoking images of flying monkeys! )If the Xindi are as xenophobic as they seem, I can see why they would want to hunt down the remaining humans. Why leave any refugees alive that might possibly make that prediction of their own destruction come true? This actually raises the question if that is not how the Xindi are destroyed by the humans. In their effort to prevent their own destruction with preemptive strikes, perhaps that is the very thing that gives humanity cause to attack them. Could the writers actually be capable of that kind of a plot twist? Hmmmm... <_< |
