polarslam: I still have an adverse reaction every single time I see either Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld or his assistant Dr. Paul Wolfowitz for the precise item that you point out - that they said the Iraqis would greet our troops with kisses and flowers, or something along those lines. From everything I heard them say leading up to the attack, I really believe that they (Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz) tried to make it sound much easier than it has been. Until Donald Rumsfeld's memo leaked, I didn't know for sure if he (Rumsfeld) even realized that things weren't going "according to plan" in Iraq. The thing that makes me sick is that I can see these two clowns putting on the same song and dance with the President - in an effort to peddle the whole thing. I still think that President Bush should fire Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. |
