This doesn't have squat to do with anything from Tom Friedman.

I know you're right - but none of us can deny that some of the points in Tom Friedman's column are becoming our policies.

I'm puzzled by the "strategy" behind leaking Donald Rumsfeld's memo and now the CIA report (apparently leaked by the White House not the CIA). I'm a little confused by President Bush and his administration's decision to introduce policy and operational change (Iraq) in this fashion - at any rate I commend the Bush administration for trying to adapt to the situation. I'm just relieved that we're hearing about the appropriate changes (my opinion) in the operation in Iraq - that we're trying to do a few things differently.

Yes, at the same time as the military is implementing what I think needs doing... Operation Iron Hammer! Check out this link:

Pretty good article - I don't usually look at Fox. Over the past two or three days, every piece of news I've been able to get my eyes or hands on conveys that same "stepped up" offensive operations by our military. I am supportive of allowing our military to take a more aggressive approach in the face of the brazen guerilla attacks that our forces were facing. If our government is going to order our troops to be in Iraq, the least it can do is allow them to "talk" to the terrorists in the only language that they speak - violence.

Even more than the stepped-up military operations, I'm very supportive of our efforts to fast-track an interim Iraqi Constitution and placing real authority with an Iraqi governing council.

Thank goodness that the President has finally introduced some meaningful changes to the operation in Iraq. At the moment, I'm optimistic/hopeful.
