Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
I usually here some news on the radio on my drive to work in the morning.

I begin my day by checking news sites on the web. The ones I frequent are Foxnews.com, Yahoo.com and sometime the web site of the Houston Chronicle. I rarely get any news from television and magazines.

Then there's sistertrek. :D

The morning news on CTV (a Canadian network)

The Toronto Star

Sistertrek - For my American take on the news of the day.

Hey 38957 - I read the Chronicle when I was in Houston. A little short on News, but 4 pages of comics every day!

I get my news from various Internet sources. The Drudge Report has links to lots of them. For television news I only use Fox (and the local NBC affiliate for local news)... CNN having gone off the reservation a decade ago.

For print media, I get the Houston Chronicle (daily) and the Wall Street Journal (M-F). I also read the Houston Business Journal, but I don't subscribe. I also tune in on the occasional left-wing news site or listen to NPR when I want to find out what the dark side is feeling.

I use a couple of local papers. The San Francisco Chronicle. US News & World Report. I flit around on the major news networks to get the differing views (same with my local tv news). On radio, KCBS 740-AM (all news, no "talk" shows) and KSPB 91.9FM for BBC World Service. For the record I try my best to "filter" reporters considered opinions regardless of the newsource.

TV: I usually watch FOX news and my CBS local affiliate on a daily basis. Sometimes I will flip through and see what is on BBC:America or this All News Channel that is International only.

Radio: NPR and local radio stations.

Internet: I automatically get news via AOL homepage. But I usually check out Yahoo (has a compilation of news sources) and foxnew.com.

Print: My local paper and sometimes USA Today. I will pick up other newspapers from other major cities on occasion (Washington Post, New York Times).

The New York Times is fine. I like Friedman's op ed pieces. Plus, I balance it out with some Fox News.

Is that the NBC nightly with Tom Brokov?

Govk, it is full of liberal horsehockey and anti--American way of putting stories. Its also a Politaclly correct paper and scared of offending someone.

Is USA Today really a newspaper? It seems aimed at the slow and retarded.

Gabe,

A local affiliate in the States is a regional station with a service contract to broadcast a given networks programs. The stations usually have their own newsdepartments for broadcasting stories of local area interest. When Admiralbill says he gets local news from the local NBC affiliate this is probably what he means.

Radio to and from work: NPR

Internet: Often many, but usually Google News/CNN/FoxNews

TV: Most often CNN, but in addition to all the network local affiliates, I also have a cable local news station and about 15 national/international cable news stations. I switch around a lot between them.
