Public Suicide

Don't make me use my bare hands on you.
There is some band in Florida called Hell on Earth that plans to have a person commit suicide on stage at a performance. Apparently the person is seriously ill and wants to end it. The news story did not list the method of suicide. The band will broadcast it live on their internet site. They have had to hide from the State because it is illegal and no public venues would allow this.

Even if you are OK with suicide in cases of fatal illness, are you OK with suicide for a bands publicity. This is just disgusting to use people as a tool like this. The band is also known according to the article for putting live rats in a blender and 'blending' them.

Any of you have their albums?

This is absolutely disgusting. Even if they manage to get this on the Internet I fervently hope that they can be caught and punished afterwards.

My daughter is too young to be into this type of garbage yet, but this does show that we should be paying attention to what our children are listening to and watching. If anyone out there has teenagers they should be talking to them about this type of grandstanding and why it is wrong.

I didn't even know who this band is but after today, I don't think I want too. I don't condone Suicides (I think there are better ways to solve your problems like asking for help, or seeking guidance) but this is absolutly disgusting. I hope they are imprisoned for having this happen.

Just when I thought not much could shock me anymore...

Hmm, I can't seem to find the right emoticon to properly reflect the utter revulsion that I feel about this...

I do believe that the local authorites made it clear to them that this would not be tolerated and the "performance" was cancelled. They claim it is their intention to draw attention to the "Right to die."

bloody disgraceful that some public event is publicizing itself by claiming the people attending the event can see someone end it .

Why not just get a gun and blow someone's brains out for public entertainment on TV ..... here's a sick concept for a "reality TV show" everyone who is eliminated by some dickhead spinster or bachelor is actually eliminated for real by a vary of mean right before TV audience's eyes on TV.

There is something very wrong with a society that allows promotion of such events.
SICK ..... DESCUSTING ..... DIOBOLICAL .... EVIL.
